Hi guys, just to let you know that they told me my letter would arrive after about a week but it actually only took about a week, think they give you the worst case scenario so your not thinking bad thoughts if its late

It is an annoying/exciting/long/tiring waiting process, but I guess the end result will be worth it!! ;D ;D

Michelle, when would i want to go, i could get packed in about an hour!

I have concluded, after long thoughts about how it went, there is no place at disney world for moi! i accept defeat and bow out gracefully (whilst crying)

I agree with Ellen Andy!!!!! Dont be so defeatist - you wont know for sure until you get letter!!!! We're all crossing our fingers and every part of our body for you!

 

I worked in the Rose & Crown and it was a great year! I met some great friends and we made it our aim to travel somewhere new every month! i've nearly seen all the main cities in the u.s! ha ha
it flew by too quickly, it it was sad to know at the end we'd been there the longest.
just be greatful CTI aren't recruiting any longer, they made me wait 4 months until they told me i'd got the job!!

Is it easy to afford to make loads of trips? Id love to if I got out there, but I cant see that Id be able to afford it! It seems a shame to spend a year in the US and not see as much of it as you can!

How much is the pay, its not an issue, just curiosity!

 

it depends, some people spent all their money on socialising, some took 1000s home, i returned home with $50!!

Some people didn't make the effort to leave orlando but they were happy with that.

my first "back to back" me and my mate drove to key west, what a great road trip! (car hire is cheap, and they let you hire under the age of 21 if you work for disney!)

Rudy, did you find that working in food and bev you had more money than your friends in merch once you got into a tipped position? Would be a shame for friends to miss out on some great road trips cos they cant afford it cos theyre in merch or an untipped position.

I reckon if i get the job ten i wont rewturn home with much money!!! Its not the sort of job you do to earn money - for me its all about the experience and the partying - enough money to live on and take some trips is fine by me!!

Thats the thing, its not a career, its an experiance and you would have to take every day as your last and just enjoy every moment! im sure theres days where things get on top of you for some reason or another, but i can't imagine you stay donw for long!

And Ive spoken to people whove done the programme and they have said that if youre down or have a bad day then the people there are so great that thye pick you right back up again and remind you why you love it so much

 

the managers were great too.

there was a group of us at the R&C who all had boyfriends leaving orlando on the same day. we tried booking the day off but they wouldn't let us all have it (understandably) so the rest of us called in sick on that day. our managers knew we weren't sick, but we didn't get into trouble and they were really nice about it!

Thats pretty cool of them!!! I cant imagine managres being so understanding to personal issues - is great that they are though!!!

I know what you mean about a little peice of paper meaning so much!!! As soon as i see the envelope I can tell the font Yummy use (very pathetic I know!) so I get a little bit scared to open it - even yesterday whenI knew it was gonna be the interview date - I thought maybe they were writing to say that I didnt have an interview after all!!!

I have also applied. Yet to hear anything but just out of interest do you know if they have filled all the places for the interviews in Nov? Is that why yours is in Feb?

I would imagine thats what has happened! so everyone getting interviews now will go in febraury, i love the fact i can talk about interviews in february and know im part of it (still havn't come off cloud 9)
