Wondering when to apply... help please!!

i know exactrly what u mean... whenever im in the states i just double in size!! its not good!!!
i am really excited about going and i havent even got the position yet!!!

Yeah...anyway...no...im unfortunately not out there yet...i wish i was!! Applied for CRP!! Just keeping my fingers crossed!! Kinda hard for me as my parents and family don't give me any support as they don't want me to go so whenever i want to talk about it...i just come on here and see whats going on!! Haha. I'm sharing the waiting with you guys!! Haha.

Whenever you go anywhere in America, you HAVE to expect to put weight on!! It's the done thing...you're on holiday anyway...let your hair down a bit!! Haha. (I can't be saying that when i'm living over there though!! Haha.)

yeah i know it does becaome really bad with my family aswell! i dont think they know that it can really help your career aswell. i think they believe i want to go just because i have a fascination for Disney!!

still they have come on board after seeing how much it has helped my friends who have done it before and now work for disney in Paris.

 

my mum will miss me loads but she is being really cool about it and helping me think of things to say in my cover letter!

Im a secretary at the moment and she was more against me travelling into central london than this which is bizarre!!

 

I really hope if I go that I dont eat as much as I did when on holiday there a last month, I put on loads of weight ;D

At the moment my dad doesnt know about it, but my mum and stepdad do, and they are both being really supportive about it, mum wants an excuse to go on holiday there again, when stepdad says no haha.

Although they want to open a restaurant over there one day so they would combine a trip with getting more info on it.

 

my cousin just came back from WDW and said shes put on a stone coz she ate so many churros and funnel cakes!!!

thats quite kewl to be honest that they want to open a business out there!

I really want to apply to go out in October/November 2008 as my graduation will be in the first couple of weeks in October, is this possible or does it have to be September?

I sent an application last year and they started to give me a phone interview but I said that I'd put on my application that I wouldn't be available until next year so we ended the interview!! They seemed really nice but kept telling me about the graduate program as I wouldn't be free until October. I really want to do the year long CRP though so am thinking about sending in an updated CV this week.

Any thoughts on this? Kx

 

They dont just recruit for one month, they are probably recuiting for departure dates from setember - march time

 

yeh the march 08 interviews will be filling the positions for sept 08-jan/feb 09. that really confused me at first!! i'm waiting to go after my gradutation too! They were going to give me a phone interview yonks ago but i emailed them saying I wasn't planning on leaving for a long time and they decided that I should just hang on and reapply. They keep mentioning the college program to me too and i'm like :-[ :-[ nooo i wanna do cult rep. lol don't worry about it. If I were you I'd reapply anyway just to be sure, I'm deffo going to send in my cv again.

 

i am doing the J1 Academic program only because i wanted to do other jobs rather than just at the UK pavilion at Epcot, i was meant to be going to the march interviews but as i was i pest they bumped my up to Edinburgh which was good as its out the way now. i really hope that every one gets in especially for the year programs as i am bricking it about going. Sean

Yeah that's what happened to me too. They gave me a phone interview in the summer but when they rang and said we're recruiting for March '08 I was like "you do know I'm not finishing uni until May '08!?". So now I've re-applied (last night) and am hoping to get a phone interview this time round too! Kx
