Thanks you guys! :D It is just that sometimes I lose confindence b/c i know that my french is as good as other Quebecers.
Joelle- french is hard to learn, like what is the difference between le subjontif ou le passe compose ou le futur? I got no clue :-[
Slyvain- For sure, that is a great idea ;) I do that here with my friends in montreal. I talk to them in french and they talk to me in english :D So we'll keep it up in Disney!
Vanessa- I am totally with you on that! I love to learn spanish- again! I have already taken two courses in spanish but never had anyone to practice with so I forget it. :-[ I plan on spending a lot of time at the Mexico and French pavillions so that I can harass the people who work there to talk to me in spanish and french ;D ;)LOL!
I think for anyone who wants to learn a new language or work on one they already know we should start a language club! I willing to help anyone with their english :D ;)

lol ali i still dont know myself! no im just kidding ...! :p subjonctif : que je sois que tu sois qu'il soit... i really dont know if there is english for that ( see thats the problem with french , lots a words we have well dosent exist in english ! :|) , and for the others im just too lazy to find the english for it lol ! anyways im sure thats if we get mixep up with other culture in the appartment , well learn one way or an other a little bit o f their language ( if that makes any sense?) !

and ive started to put more french songs on my ipod to make the people down there discover some quebeccers music like : jean leloup , ramasutra , Bran van 3000, jorane... and some other classic like : femme libéré, coeur de loup ( lool!), etc ...
if you have otheres idea about what i sould bring lol! ( and no i will not take celine dion with me ! )

It's so weird - I HATED French in high school (I was in late French Immersion, meaning I started hard core in grade seven) but once I started working in Gatineau and traveled some in France I actually enjoyed the challenge of using it. Maybe because I wasn't getting marked on it ;D

I think the challenge of writing vs. speaking French depends how you learn. I don't find writing so bad because I learned through text books and doing a lot of writing exercises. However, my friend went to France on an exchange and she learned through speaking so had a lot of trouble writing french, especially words that sound the same (e.g., etais vs etaient, etait, or ete with the accents on the e's).

Blah blah blah, anyway, I'm up for improving my French! My Spanish too, a guy working the ticket counter at a train station in Spain yelled at me because my Spanish wasn't good enough. Yeah? Well, try learning spanish on PEI where the only phrase anyone knows is hasta la vista!

    So excited!

LOL! ;D Joelle in english there is just present and future with few exceptions to rules! But for music wise you should maybe also add Dubmatique, Jacynite(?) and Trajadie (? I am not sure if they are from France or Quebec- oh well! ;)) I am really upset that you will not be bring any Celine :'( Without her I don't know where Quebecers will be ;D (Just being sarcastic ;) )
Jen- that is soo mean for that guy to yell at you for your spanish not be that great. That is my biggest fear if for someone to yell at me that I am not fluently french. Luckly here in Quebec, people seem to love it when an Anglophone tries to speak french ;)

I'll have to admit Joelle, I don't really listen to much music by Quebec artists :-[ I try and keep in touch with who are the hot artists are in french Canada, I must have did a horrible job 'cuase I haved paid attention to the wrong ones!!!!! Don't worry Jacynte annoies me :D I just mentioned her 'cause I couldn't think of anyone eles at the moment. But I still truly enjoy Dubmatique and I forgot about Muzion and Ophile (?) Winter, they are good too. I think I'll start doing my homework on Quebec musicians ;) You can send me some music titles and I'll download them, so I'll know who you are talking about when we meet up in Disney ;D ;)

@ Jen - I am all for improoving my French too - I just finished a 5 week intensive immersion program but I still have long way to go - just did core in school and then have done some in university - I think we need to get in on some of those french conversations with Joelle and others to keep in practice.  As for the spanish I am sure there will be no problem at all picking some up in Florida as it is a very prominent language there.    -Derek-

So true about spanish Derek- Miami is about 4 hours away from Orlando and it has a large spanish population :) Not to mention the Mexico Pavillion at Epcot as well ;)
