    Hey Sofi,

Just wanted to stay calm down a bit in the nicest way possible! ;D

All your messages are really nervous and you would have been made aware of the costs at the presentation. But at the end of the day its just money and you can either make it or make it up after.

You are going to have the best summer ever, well I want you to, but you wont if you're worrying about every little thing. Just remember the reasons you're going and not much else will matter.

    Have a smile! :) xx

hey i never heard anything at the presentation about calling a premium rate number to get a visa, if its £10 a minute its cheaper for me to travel 1st class by train from leeds to london than phone them! & I'm not worried i'm just skint, my parents don't pay for anything so its all loans & with my rent being £122 a week it doesn't give me much to use, i just didn't realise there would be so many costs, ive spent over £1000 so far on flights and insurance and getting to the interview etc. i think its normal to stress a little, i just need to have my moments lol x

Going for mine on 9th April at 8.30am.. Hopefully since it's early on, won't have to wait around too long.. Was at Belfast last year first thing in the morning and it still took a couple of hours like! xx

yeah pretty much. You go in and give them your paperwork, sit for AGES! and then go collect it back. The only thing i was asked in my interview was if i was looking forward to going.

Wow loads of people are going on the 9th april... I am going next week! But I shall report back to you all :p

Sofi: I know it seems like a lot of money but it really is worth it in the end :D The premium rate phone number takes the mickey somewhat but that's not yummy's fault and if you phone from a landline it's only £1.20 a minute... is there someone's landline you can borrow and pay them back for?

Went for my visa appointment on Wednesday - easiest walk in the park ever.

ChantelleKitchen - no you certainly do not need to dress smartly, trust me, if you do - you'll get there and feel like a melon. Hell, go in your pjs and it wouldn't matter.

All i'll say is, take a good book, don't annoy anyone, and have fun. You have your prints scanned at one window, where you hand over the Disasterously Shocking-160 and SEVIS receipt and passport, and then you sit down for a nice long time while they read over your paperwork, then you're called to a second window where the woman makes small talk with you, re checks your finger prints - and sends you to the £14.50 passport return delivery desk, where you pay your £14.50 and toddle off home! I went to the embassy at 12:45 and was out at 2:30.
