Some people may think I'm crazy, but the Carousel of Progress is my favorite ride! Such a great attraction! "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day!" For thrill rides, Expedition Everest would get my vote. For something not Disney related... has any one been on Le Sheikra at Busch Gardens recently? I went when I was there in 2006, but I hear that it is now floorless! I really really want to go on that!
i went there in september 2007, when i believe it was floorless. sheikra was absolutely killer, such a good ride!
It's absolutely amazing! Done it so many times now and I love it! Friends of mine are all like 'omg Obivion at Alton Towers is so scary....'. I have to tell them that that's a baby ride and they need to try something a bit more thrilling! AkA, Sheikra.
Alton Towers? I am going to take a shot in the dark and assume that is in the UK Lou? I love rides with huge drops and being able to see the ground getting further and further away is awesome... no, it's beyond awesome..... it's BE-AWESOME!!! (That's a Bolt reference for anyone who may be confused). I want to go now!
Yeah Alton Towers is a UK theme park...not bad for the UK but it's no US theme park that's for sure! Oblivion is like Sheikra in that it has similar drop, but that's all Oblivion consists of. It's like a 5 second ride. It's not as tall either. I love going on rollercoasters where the drop is so steep you can't see the track! Also, Air at Alton Towers is brilliant...whoever came up with the idea of lying down on rollercoasters needs a trophy or something haha.
I've never been to Busch Gardens but I just found a video of Sheikra and now I really want to go! My list of things to do is getting longer and longer I love Carousel of Progress! It is so corny but great at the same time. Especially on a hot day when the park is really really busy.
ah i love most scary rides and LOVED bush gardens but was too scared to go on sheikra by myself so if someone was willing to hold my hand/ignore my protests (coz i do actually wanna go on it ill talk myself out of it) id love to do it
ridiculous as it sounds, me and my bro discussed how we felt cheetah chase (like the rattlesnake in chessington) and scorpion (only one loop, but it's got a lap bar) were actually the most scary
hehe my closest theme park (well, attraction centre ) at home is Flamingoland - my brother and his friend are real daredevils, and won't go on one of the rides any more cos it goes upside down and only has a lap bar that apparently isn't really near your lap!! I don't go upside down tho.... Oooh - and The Ultimate at Lightwater Valley is also good - very bone jangling!!!! Can't wait to go on all my fave rides again tho - Splash Mountain I think!! xx
Oh I can't bare roller coasters, Big Thunder Mountain or Space Mountain are just about my limits lol. I am a superb bag holder I love Soarin' could go on that everyday loads of times lol. And Test Track yeeeha!
Yea, its always good to have bag holder, my mum normally does it but i wont have her during the summer, hehe. Lmao. I love Flamingoland. its awesome, but the last time i went was years and years ago, hehe.
It is also a nice place to relax when you're tired and need a quick power nap! And there's never a line! How can you lose? I will be definitely getting an annual pass for Busch Gardens if I get the chance to go back. Plus I should have a car so I can go whenever! Flamingoland... that sounds intriguing to say the least. And an upside down ride without shoulder restraints sounds slightly sketchy.... only slightly though
I love Sheikra, i need to go back on it this summer, its a big MUST! I was on it in 2005 and it was fantastic, with it being floorless now will just make it even better, im getting excited thinking about it, hehe.
I am also a superb bag holder - Graeme you and I should be the official bag holders, and have jackets and everything Flamingoland is AWESOME!!! not as attentioned to detail as Disney, but the rides are good, and there's a zoo as well one of the vets who works there is also the vet for my cats - he did zoo vets I think Despite being a bit of a wuss, I quite want to try Dr Dooms Fearfall - so don't let me wuss out!! xx
Katie i am dragging you on that ride. It is great, i cannot wait to go on all the rides again, i miss them all. hehe. We cant have use being bag holiders, you have to go on the rides, hehe.
LOL I wouldn't drag people on rides who don't want to go on them....I've done it before and felt so guilty because they were terrified that I couldn't enjoy it myself! So don't do it, it's cruel Plus you always need bag holders! So long as you don't run off with them...
Back holders are very handy people, especially if you've been shopping!! Last time I went on Splash Mountain I almost slid out of my seat, cos I was at the front so I ended up almost laying down as we went down the flume... Still love it though!
Okay, I'll take your back off you for a while to rest it, and you can have a spare one from it's a small world Fine Leom, you can drag me on the ride (but not ToT!!) and NO upside down ones (unless you particularly fancy waiting half an hour for me to see straight enough to stand up! it's going to be a loooooong wait till the summer!! xx
