What clothes to take.......

Last time my Mum declared Malteasers and they looked at her like she had three heads. Chocolate is fine lol. It's just fruit, veg, meat and dairy products you can't take with you.

 

LMAO, that must have been embarassing. do they not have malteasers in america?

 

my mum didn't declare mini cheddars. even though she had a translucent bag.

 

They do, but they're not called Malteasers. On your blue form it says to declare any food, and it's not until you go to get your baggage that it becomes specific. Very confusing if you've never taken food through before.

 

So what would you pack guys?
List the most important things you need
i dont want to take too much
carry big suitcases around that
aint much fun,
but ive got a new roller bag on
wheels i had for christmas which
seems to hold alot,
what shoes to take? what
bits of clothing do we need?
fleeces,shorts etc?

 

and UK skittles, you aren't allowed them into the country as one of colourings is illegal in the stat

 

my mam bought me a first aid kit. and my fiance dads bought my a windup touch. n me grandmar bought my a mini sowing kit.

I plan to take the minimum. I'll buy myself a couple of new summer clothes here in June before i go. Take some bed sheets and just a tooth brush, paste, ect to you get you through the 1st few days which by that time, you can get what you don't have at wal-mart

 

speaking of things to bring, how much money do you think we'll need to bring for before we start getting pay cheques?

 

I've got $2200 in travelers cheques & a couple of hundred bucks in notes. That's more than enough I think, I want to get my annual pass for Universal, Busch & Sea World with that. Maybe a TV & an Xbox 360 too!

 

I wasn't planning to take much but i too want a TV and a PS3, Universal Annual pass and all that adds up. PS3 is $400 alone

 

There must be a tv in youre accomodation,
but i think Lee the least you take the better,
Walmart is great as ive shopped there before
be so exciting to go back there again.

Ps: how much is an annual Universal pass and where do u get it from?
dont we get free entry to anything?

 

I saw a 22 inch Samsung LCD (full 1080, 2 HDMI slots, PC slot, the works!) for $420 on walmart's website which is a pretty sweet price.

360's go for between 200 & 400 bucks depending on which one you get.

 

I'm not buying a TV i'm taking an external hard drive on with loads of films and TV shows that can just be watched on the laptop

 

I'll want a TV for rock band sessions on the 360, sport, 24, lost, prison break etc etc. Then sell it on when I leave.

 

I'm actually addicted to rock band, such a shame i'm not male..i want to live in your gaff!

You'll always be welcome obviously. Is the whole 1am curfew thing only applicable to people from outside the Commons?? Like if we wanna get our drink on until the wee hours, are we allowed round other people's apartments?
