There will probably loads of little things i miss like friji milkshakes and innocent smoothies. and trditional scottish breakfasts.

I'm not sure my cooking is on par with the singing but I'll let ya'll decide on that.

My housemate before christmas was from australia and her parents sent over carmello koalas! soo good! and these mint chocolate things that were probably the best thing ever! Our other housemate and I use to steal them constantly..i just can't remember their actual name?

 

Yeah, I'm sure trousers & a shirt will be fine. It's not as if we're being interviewed per se, merely going up to a counter to answer a few questions. I'm just going in jeans & a hoody, I don't fancy carrying a suit bag around Londontown all day!

Good stuff, my train back up to the motherland isnt until 3:30 so if I'm gonna be wandering the streets for a few hours, I'd rather be doing it in sneakers!

 

Yeah, i had the appointment for 8am, was out by 9am, my train wasn't til 3. So i had to wander round in the bitterly freezing cold weather feeling like a wanker because I was dressed smartly.

 

what kind of stuff did they ask you at the embassy?

 

They didn't..

seriously, she was very abrupt behind her glass counter, just told me where to put my fingers for the fingerprint machine.

She just told me to sit down and i'd be called up again. the second woman didn't ask me anything either, asked me to take my fingerprints again and then tried to make a bit of conversation, that was about it.

 

So you dont need to be smart for going to the embassy? I thought you got like interviewed?

 

It's not an interview...its a lot of waiting for your number to be called out, so you can go up to a desk, do your fingerprints, hand over forms and maybe get asked some questions. If it was an interview you'd be waiting all day.

Sounds good to me. I keep hearing scary stories about the embassy. Maybe it's the actual people who work there ;D
