The two first things I will buy (if you don't count the obvious stuff (bedings, food, etc..)) Is Ben & Jerryes Chocolate Chip cookie Dough and a some Coke light XD
mine will be Ben and Jerry's and probably some Orange Juice. Florida has some of the best orange juice I have ever had.
Yeah, I think all of the different sorts of juice down in Florida is great! Of all the times i have been to Florida, I never seem to find a favourite juice Oh, and by the way; Norway just got two new types of Ben & Jerry's this week, and chocolate chip cookie dough was one of them!!! It is a miracle
Mmmm...cookie dough is ace! Anyone know if they have squash in Florida? It's pretty much all I drink lol (and in case squash is just a UK term, it's concentrated juice you dilute with water hehe)
I have never heard of squash before... I thought you were referring to the vegetable and I was thinking "who likes squash that much?" hahahaha ;D If squash is just frozen juice that comes in cans then yes, they have it. If this is something different, I don't think so lol.
Only stuff I found was Robinsons they import... but it's about $5 a bottle I missed squash so badly - I don't like water I did treat myself to a bottle though! xx
Yeah I don't like water either. I don't want to live on pop all the time lol! I will have to have a hunt round Walmart when i get there. Mind you, if they don't have squash...do they not do lager & black/lager & lime/any other drinks with a dash either then? I don't drink so doesn't bother me, just curious haha.
I hardly ever drink coke when im in the uk i always drink orange squash but when im in America i get so addicted to coke and it tastes much better than it does in the uk.
I didn't realize beverages were so different outside of North America... I am very intrigued by this squash you all speak so highly of. Not that I fully understand what it is. Is it different from the frozen stuff you get in the grocery store that you add 3 cans of cold water to? McCain and Minute Maid are the most common brands of it here.
How odd...we don't have frozen drinks here so that all sounds a bit weird to me lol. Squash comes in a bottle and you just put a wee bit in the bottom of your glass and top it up with water. It comes in a variety of flavours, mostly orange and blackcurrant but also for the more exotic tastebuds, elderflower, pear or even fruit salad flavour. They have recently brough about double concentrate, so it lasts twice as long...yes...twice as long. People have also taken to adding it into a whole variety of alcoholic drinks to give it a bit of a twist and by adding blackcurrent squash to coke, you get Dr Pepper (or thereabouts). Warning: Don't drink it neat. I have done and it was vile...nearly took the enamel off my teeth lol. So now you know all about squish/squash/cordial/dilutey ;D Hehe. It's awesome if you're on a budget because one bottle will last about a month
Wow, that is very very interesting. I have never heard of such a thing! It does sound like it would be useful in all sorts of scenarios - mixed drinks and the like!
I don't drink so I don't know about alchamoholic beverages... I've never tried frozen stuff - very sensitive teeth = cold stuff bad! I drank a LOT of fruit juice, I'm not one for pop much (although ask for apple juice and sprite in a QS restaurant, it's amazing - what I lived off at work over the summer, yeay for free drinks in QS!). Fruit juice comes in such big bottles and doesn't need refirgerating (in the fridge - I can't spell today!), so it's a good buy! Fruit juice = excellent! I'm sure you'll find something though! Gatorade and powerade are pretty good substitues for squash (lots of flavours, don't taste too different!) I LOVE double concentrate - I drink one heck of a lot of squash! I think I'll go and have some now... xx PS - I tried to explain squash to my American friends I worked with - they didn't get it!
I liveeee on Pepsi and pop products, but I drank a lot of apple juice when I was there too. DRINK WATER - seriously, it's so important to stay hydrated!
It's not juice. Some flavours taste a bit like gatorade (the orangey ones), but the main similarity is the consistency of the liquid and the texture that's similar... it's kind of confusing to explain! I think what I'm trying to get at is that it tastes kind of the same in terms of how dilute it is... I'm very tired! When I'm back in the summer we'll have to get a bottle and have a squash drinking moment! (Or you could buy a bottle of Robinson's squash yourself to try...) xx
