WE ARE ON THE WAITING LIST - or if u have been & have any info!

So I guess no one got called today. damn.
Looks like another looooooong weekend gang!

 

Oh man. I don't know what's worse... Waiting the weekend and knowing you're not going to get a call, or waiting the week and having a minor heart attack everytime the phone rings.

 

...its hard to say, but we don't know if we will be hearing soon or in a few months

 

Still no &*$^@*$^!!($#&$#@ing call today. ARGH! yet ANOTHER weekend...

 

Has anyone heard from Eric lately regarding the waiting list?

 

I haven't heard anything from Disney....I am just sort of looking for other jobs (lol...I applied to be a flight attendant) and keeping it in the back of my mind....there could be months of waiting still.

 

I just got an e-mail from Eric saying Cast-A-Way is not longer recruiting for CRR/ICP, just the cruiselines. I thought I was accepted for a moment with the positive subject line

 

ya me too I was way confused because they were talking like I had the job... so I was like what? I emailed Roger in the address posted, Burtner did you send and email asking too?

 

I got that email too, though I'm accepted to icp-- I assume that he sent it to everyone he'd been in contact with re: disney... kinda wierd... does this mean that once again they won't be hiring from canada in the future??

 

I dont see why they wouldn't they have a canadian section in epcot i doubt they just cut it out... I'm thinkin maybe Eric got really overwhelmed maybe or sometihng like I bet things were really hetic when they had the CRP interviews at the same time as the Disney Cruise line interviews... also think Cast Away may be more about hireing for cruise lines?

 

That's a good point I think. I sent an e-mail to Roger saying I was still interested, and gave him my contact information, letting him know it would change in a couple of months. I hope this is a good thing!

Hmmm that was weird. I better check to see if the Police sent in my Police Report... Wonder if I should send it to Roger as well? Not sure when and if they sent it yet but it probably would have been today if they did.

 

I dont know if they would get all the info today I bet they have a lot of stuff to turn over

 

That was a good call A7adragon, let us know if they provide any other information about the waiting list. I checked the international website and the cast-a-way website and there's still no announcement on there, so there's probably going to be quite a bit of backlog.

 

ya, probably, its a BIG change, I'm pretty shocked, I do really wonder why they did it

 

If you read "Cast-a-way no more??" (http://www.wdwip.com/smf/index.php?topic=5639.0) I've posted parts of the e-mail I just relieved. Yummy jobs is taking over the hiring of Cultural Representatives in Canada.

This could be the reason that no one on the waiting list has heard from Eric regarding positions. Yummy has asked us to send them all our information (including start date and role offered) before March 12th so just hold on tight. I'm sure once they get everything sorted out they'll be contacting people on the waiting list to fill in the vacant positions.

What do us folk on the waiting list do? should we email Roger and say we are still interested or contact yummy with our info... or should we just assume everything would be passed over in the change? I'm so confused...

ya, I don't get it.... I sent Roger an email I have nothing about the info to Yummy and as of right now I think Steffie only got the information about them
