WE ARE ON THE WAITING LIST - or if u have been & have any info!

its just everyone is on me to work and I have a college dipolma but its hard to get job in ther field so I'm not doing anything and I hate listening to people telling me what to do when it makes no sense... gah...

so here's a bit of info .. i was on the waiting list last year for CRP .. and got a call about a month later ..so like end of june... to go!!! before that they sent me an offer to work at a Disney Resort in North/South Carolina and another in Vero Beach ... so there are A LOT of opportunities for CRP .....

but im not too sure about ICP ... cause thats the waiting list im on this year.. i called Eric last friday and he called me today and left a message saying that I did excellent on my interview but that there were not enough positions and that we are basically waiting for people to reject offers. There is not a ordered list, it depends on your availability and what your first and second choices were. Then he said it could be a week to a month..

I figured there would be other oppertunities after CRP because of the information centre they have and the program where you can talk to people in various areas of company.. but I was wondering what more you had to say

i was laughing so hard when i saw that everyone was referring to me as pocahontas( my real name is Steph, im from Toronto) !! it made me blush!! i always wanted to be her!!! i have the long black hair and everything..

i honestly thought they did not send out any reject/reapply letters .. cause I hadn't heard from anyone.

 

WinterSun had you done the f2f interview?

 

LOL Steph! I grew out my hair because I wanted it to blow in the wind like Pocahontus didn't nessesarily want it to be black though I like my blonde hair but I wanted to hear about this other placement you got offered

 

I did the f2f on feb 2 got waitlisted on Fri, and then today at 4ish got the reapply email.

WinterSun: Did you reply when they sent you the letter on Friday? Cause if you did that might be a reply back to you for anyone that e-mails them now. I got that last year when I tried to apply after the date. They don't always read the e-mail first, it is sort of an automatic e-mail. So if when you got the e-mail Friday, you e-mailed Eric back at all it might just be an automatic e-mail and not really mean anything.

 

I haven't emailed him at all, so I'm not entirely sure. It seems like i'm the only one who got one.

 

I'm pretty sure that Eric's email is Eric's email.
At least I am hoping it is. I sent him an email today.
I replied to the automatic email from the interview and got a real one back.
But I get what you mean. they may just assume that you're someone new trying to apply.

Also, Wintersun keep in mind that only a percentage of the people that applied are on this website. So I doubt you were the only one to get something like that.

Even after my phone interview I got a reapply one. It was funny cause I was like "What should I listen to. Eric on the phone, or Eric in E-mail." And I was like. "I like the Eric on the phone better." So I was happy when they called my name at the interview. (But the e-mail I got then was pritty close to the exact same one you got.) So weird things happen. If your the only one who got it, may just be some sort of mistake. But if you never e-mailed it is rather weird. Hopefully that is all it is. But it is tough wondering. Seems like we dont know a lot of people who were there. I am sure you would not be the only one with this random "reapply" letter.

 

I'd call, now come to think of it.
Just call and say that you are a bit confused. You were notified that you were waitlisted and then shortly after told that they were not hiring anymore for the year. Just say you wanted to make sure that you were rejected or waitlisted because it was very confusing?

I mean it is totally up to you but I do think it's a little bit strange.

oh confusion is just not good for the emotions!

 

maybe send him a thank you for your consideration email and casually mention that if anything ever comes up later you'd accept or something...

OMG. You too ILoveTink. Ya I thought you would get the job. Now you have a date to think about. And just before your leaving to go visit Disney World. What a perfect time to find out. So now when you leave, all you have to say is "So long, see you all in June." Such a soon date too. Good luck. Guess we will be meeting again in Disney.

And ya WinterSun, try e-mailing or calling or something. Just say your a little confused and you just want to make sure. That way you know.
