You don't have to wear a jacket to traditions. I brought my suit jacket and think I wore it once...just a waste of space in my suitcase really. But might want a sweater or something because rooms are always cold with the AC.

    Hey girls!
You really shouldn't worry too much about traditions. You can wear dressy pants and a nice shirt. I don't even remember what I was wearing but definitely no jacket. As we have shorter dresses than most of the other pavillions I always had to wear tights for work. It was so grosse!!!!
For your throw-in, don't wear anything white if you are canadian or german. And I would include the british people, too, although I don't know what they do for their throw-in...Can't trust this lot, either! LOL

And it can get freaky cold in Florida, too. We had the worst winter in 19 years and it was freezing! But I just bought nice big sweaters from the norwegian pavillion when we had the 40% discount.
You should definitely bring some zip up tops and stuff because of the a/c.

Lol! Get used to it, we have to wear tights, stay ups, stockings, knee highs etc every single day if u r not wearing them u get sent back to costuming! so i'd be getting aclimatised! it's hideous!
Anyway about the first night, it's a secret, but it's amazing fun so u'll all be fine! What ever you do don't miss ur throw in cos u'll regret it, a couple of ppl in my arrival group did and they regretted it

    I agree with you danielle!!!

Although i was so tired when i arrived last week i still wouldnt have missed the throwin!! Was such a laugh!!!

And as for traditions - as long as your top is not sleeveless you dont have to wear a jacket!! But like danielle said they seem to be v strict on tights/stockings etc!!! So wear them!!!!

Sounds like us Canadians have the best uniform...shorts and a tshirt...even though the shirt is checkered red and black, i will be definately glad for it during the summer heat. And as for the shorts, well that is an added bonus..i live in shorts...wear them all the time here in vancouver...even in the winter :p

I thought the canadians had the best costume just because they had shorts for summer and pants for winter. I had to run around in a short dress no matter if it was hot or freezing cold. Hated it. All costumes are not exactly pretty, but there are some that are ok. The mexican attraction one was bad! Yellow and green, my roomie always said she looked like a bell in the church, because of the cut LOL

    About Traditions:
I'd advise that you go along with the Disney Look. I wore a pinstripe suit (skirt, not pants) and a buttondown shirt, and I wasn't overdressed. Then again, I went down in January! Wearing STOCKINGS (not tights- in the US, tights are thick and heavy, and stockings are nylons or hose or whatever you want to call them. They're just the flesh-toned, light kind) because the room you have Traditions in is cold!

Man...the thing against stockings makes me realize what was meant in the first episode of Coupling, when Steve says "Not once in the entire relationship did she wear stockings! I begged!"

And I don't know what to tell you about throw ins. The College Program had a company-sponsored barbeque the first night, where all the CPs were told to wear something with our school's name on it. I suppose it's the whole pavilion thing, versus the work location thing.
    I ENVY YOU PEOPLE!!!
