Thanks a bunch for your help. Ok. I will seek for you guys PROFessional advice when I am in need. You guys have expertise in it. Thanks for you guys help. You guys are very helpful
A point to consider is whether your friend or yourself are likely to have a car when she comes to visit. If not, then a Disney hotel is your best bet as you can get to the hotel for free via dynamic and disney buses. You really can't walk anywhere in florida and even staying at the closest hotels to the commons (i.e. the marriott village or the holiday Inn sunspree) will proabably still end up with you guys paying a fortune in taxi fares. About the grosvenor, it's a disney good neighbour resort, not actually a disney hotel. You may get a discount (cast members get discounts on hundreds of resorts and hotels all over florida, not just orlando!) but it won't be as spectacular as the discounts you can get at disney resorts. At certain times of the year you can actually get as much as 60% off the cost of rooms in disney resorts (depending on availability of course). So the cheapest, i.e. one of the all star resorts or pop century, which is around $79 per night in value season, ends up being really cheap when you aply that 60% discount! Ona x
Dear Ona, It's VERY NICE of an almuni to share her valuable experience and give her USEFUL advice to us as NEW participants. Both my fd and I have NOT got a car. Previously, my another fd who will be going and i was talking about not being able to get around and go sightseeing easily as we don't have a car.haha. WE may not be able to get used to it. In HOng KOgn, we can access to ANYwhere by Public transport.
Dear Ona, I have NEVER been to the USA. I don't know how it is like there. OH my god. That means I will be end up paying high cost for trnpotation if I wanna go sihgtseeing in FLorida. oh. My another fd and i was thinking about if we would be able to cover the costs - FOod, Accomocation, Roudn tickets flight form HK to the USA [ around US $ 1,200 ] [ US $ 1= $ HK 7.9] [ $ UK 1= $ HK 12.5] It seems to me that I will spend an exorbitant amount on TrANsport if I wanna get around in FLorida.
I thought it would be a GOLDEN oppportunity for me to explore the USA. But um... :'( :'( It seems that it is IMPOssible for me to do so My parents have been blaming me for having the possiblity that I won't be able to cover the EXPense / costs . But I persuade them that I will be able to EXPlore in the USA. After hearing that, they didnt' oppose it. I guesss they will go mad if they know that I will OVERSPEND[ Expense> INcome]

Nae bother. I'm supposed to be writing an essay at the moment so anything to keep me doing anything but. ;D You can always hire a car. I did that ALOT of times out there. It saves ALOT of hassle and makes life much easier when you have friends visiting. The only way they can get to the Commons at all is by taxi or car so hiring is something to keep in mind. I'm somewhat an expert in hiring cars out there. I always hired from Avis. The guys there were so sad when I left. ;D There's none of that in Florida. No chance. There is the Lynx, the public bus, but alas, it's not exactly convenient or plesant. Ooooh, flashbacks to dreadful 2 hour journeys to the Florida mall! Ona x
