Visa!

Ok here a rough idea of what my day was like

well i got the for 10:30
interview was booked for 11:00
had to wait outside in line till they let me in at 11:45
go through sercruity
cheak in at front desk
go to visa hall and get number
wait for number to be called
(an hour or so later)
go for 1st interview give over forms, passport and get fingur print scan
(2 plus hours later)
go for 2nd interview asked what i will be doing when i get home and out in the states. man signs visa form and give me back a corrier form
to to corrier desk pay the fee to get your passport back
go home

3 days later get a package you have to sign for delived to your house

now your all set to work legally in the USA

As you can see there is alot of waiting so take a book or something to do while your there will make the time go quicker

 

Or fly to Belfast and it's all done and dusted within 50 minutes !!

 

i wanna go to belfast...but i think my boy has his heart set on a trip to london!

Am going down to London on the 3rd May.
I am just in the process of filling out my forms, have any of you filled in the work and contact history form, do we have to put all our previous jobs down cus cannot remember the dates?
I hate filling in forms!!!!

it has everything you need to no. if you don't no the real dates in terms of day monthe year just put the month and year

oohh my goshhh isn't it hard to get ur Visa!

U have to fill out so many forms and bring so many documents and stuff I didn't know it was so hard to get one.

but after I know it's al worth it CAUSE WE ARE going to DISNEY

 

I think im all set for my visa interview tomorrow. Im petrified im going to forget stuff. A couple of questions:

1) The DS 2019 for we got in the pack, do we need to fill any of that in? I wasnt sure if I was to sign it or what

2) Am I supposed to attach my photo to my ds 156 form or leave it unattached?

3) someone mentioned a bank statement...do I need to bring one of those???

Hope this helps

1- I didn't do anything with the ds2019 just leave it as it is.
2- You don't need to attach your photo they'll do that for you
3- I didn't take a bank statement and they never even mentioned it so you'll be fine. If you have one lying around then maybe just take it just in case but it's not necessary.

Thanks babe! Im so scared im going to forget something. One more question...what about outfits? I was just going to wear my usual smart/casual nice jeans, nice top, nice shoes. I won't look too under dressed will I?

lol don't worry about attaching ur photo is totally fine either attached or not i put mine on using glue but there were other that didn't so either way will be fine

JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!

just returned from London... other than getting my VISA which means i am now fully loaded to go to work for the mouse... today has possibly been the biggest waste of time in my entire life..
i spent 3.5 hours waiting in a warm crowded room and spent 7 mins talkin to 2 seperate people and thats it.. they said yea fine have a VISA... what a piss take... at least its over now...

All they said to me was give us your forms, where do you go to uni and are u going back and that was it! 2 mins tops! you're right a total piss take!
They do hold the power to let us go see mickey though so i suppose we have to be nice to them!!!

Wow 7 mins! lucky! I spent 5 hours there just to spend 2 mins tops!

 

I think Michael was saying the 7 mins was the interviews, and that he waited for 3.5 hours to get to that stage!

Anyone booking an interview should really consider Belfast. It is amazingly more efficient (or, perhaps more accurately, they deal with a lot smaller number of visas).

 

I was at the embassy for about an hour total (from arriving to leaving).

Did anyone have problems printing off their DS-157 form. What i have types hasn't all been printed off!

Does anyone know of anyway i can stop this happening?
