Ditto... Aargh, the suspense is too much, and I feel like I'm just building myself up for a lot of disappointment. Can we just fast-forward the next couple of weeks, please?!

i know what you mean - im trying to stay up beat but im worried that im just setting myself up for a huge dissapointment! il be so gutted if i dont get in...... i really hope it doesnt take 3 weeks .... i cant understand why it would take that long for them to decide - at our interview i was chatting to Jason and he said that all of the interviews had been done - apart from the last set for the summer prog which were in Aberdeen the following day (friday) so they must be sorting it all out NOW!!!!!! yikes!!!

If we get in will it be a call from the American people to tell us or from the folks at Yummy?????

I'd be starting in the Spring, so I think that's March - but I know there's a food and Beverage opening in December (even though if I got chosen for that, I'd only be there for nine months as opposed to the year).
Haha, I'm so glad I'm not alone in the obsessive anticipation!

Hmm I wonder too who will call us - the people we interveiwed with? Or will it just be a generic email?

i'm assuming they would let us know by email? just because thats how the majority of it has been done so far. i dont really know though, they might ring people since they have had problems emailing people on hotmail, yahoo, aol etc. i was one of those people!

after the interviews in march, most people i know were called to let them know they had been accepted, altho i do know that a few people were emailed.

if you get a fone call it will be from yummy, as disney give them the results and they then pass the news onto the applicants.

i know exactly how u guys are feeling, i went thru it earlier this year, and also a few weeks ago, but if u really want it, it will all work out in the end, i promise u! i cant wait to find out which of u are gonna be coming out next year, i hope some of u are in my arrival group!!!

Jilly are you flying out from Glasgow??? We were asked this at the interview i said id rather fly from glasgow if possible and go to belfast to get my visa - nothing against going to London at all but if i was to fly from Glasgow my folks could drive me down, stay over at my sisters and take me to the airport to say bye to them! and i can fly to belfast pretty cheap and be home the same night so it all makes sense!!!
Just have to wait and see now!!!!!
Would be cool if we were in the same group!! ;D

well we have the option of getting disney to book out flights, but anyone i knew who did that, had even longer flights, coz they had to fly via like washington or atlanta or sumthing, plus they book them from manchester or london, so i would also have to get there, it would end up being a heck of a journey! so i think id maybe rather organise my flight myself and fly direct from glasgow!

add me to msn chick! princessjilly@hotmail.co.uk

    just added you m'dear!!
ahhhh - Jason didnt tell me any of that stuff!!
He just asked if i would like to book my own flight or get disney to book it and then pay it of week by week - i said id prefer disney to book it because im not going to have that much spare cash to be able to pay the whole thing up front. He then asked me where id like to fly from - i said Glasgow and he said that would be fine!
I over heard him talking to some one else about it to - they must have asked if they could fly from Edinburgh and he said no,something about Glasgow being the only place in Scotland that does direct flights????????
I dunno - i guess that will all have to get sorted out if i actually get a place!!!!!

aw well i guess they might have changed it then, wen we had our interviews in march we had choice of manchester or london... and all my mates who booked it thru disney didnt have direct flights, they had to stop elsewhere first.. and i thot the flights they had seemed pretty expensive.

Cant wait to find out if u got it, we need more scots out there!! ;D

ah,i see. yeah i guess it must have changed - he didnt mention anything about Manchester or London to me at all!!! ive had a wee look and there are direct flights from Glasgow to Orlando (Fly globespan to sanford airport rather than orlando intl.) with no changes so im assuming thats the ones they are meaning?!
im getting way ahead of myself here - ive not got the job and im planning my flight already!!!!! im gonna be so so so sad if i dont get in ........ :(
these next 2 weeks are going to kill me!!!!!
Do you have to go and get a visa again or did you have one for being out there already??

il need to get a different visa...i was on an H2b visa but the year program is a q1 visa so il have to go thru the whole boring visa process again!!!

i flew with globespan this time, and i got it really cheap so i think i may do it again...tho disney reps only pick up from orlando int so i had to make my own way there..

im gonna have a look at flights soon actually, its ages away but i like to be organised!

yeah im looking at their prices now - really cheap!!! if i could get a flight for under £200 id pay for it myself no problems, but any more than that and its going to be a struggle - but again thats all make believe untill i get an answer back!!!!
so much to think about tho - il have to buy lots of new clothes and stuff, all i have is warm winter stuff - nothing for sunny hot weather!!!!!!

I had lots of underage friends this summer ... don't worry you'll be fine!

Any clubs at PI are all ages, House of Blues is 18+ for girls 21+ for guys. You just get a wristband if you are of age. Oh ... and FYI Sundays are Service Industry Night at House of Blues ... I always had a blast!

Whatever you do ... if you are Underage and you are going to drink ... please for the love of god don't do it at PI. I have a few friends that got termed for being so stupid. Not only is that a leagal issue ... but when Disney Security asks to see your ID and you ticket and you show them a Disney Property ID (Thur-Sun we get in free with our ID) you are as good as Terminated! Please don't be so stupid!!! Even parties that get broken up in the aparments you have a chance of walking away with out Security asking for ID's (Price Management often turns a blind eye ... but don't rely on that either) ... but PI you're screwed!

all advice taken on board! altho if i do manage to get a place next year i will be 21 when i arrive so thankfully its not something il need to worry about! It does seem very strict tho, compared to the laws in the UK anyway, its 18 over here and yet i was out getting into clubs when i was 15/16 without ID - no one cares! its really quite shocking!!!!

I dont rely on alcohol to have fun but i like to have the freedom to choose to drink if i wanted to!

I have a place next summer and I turn 21 when I'm over there so will I be OK to drink on my birthday/once it has passed? it's not a big deal to me or anything but it would be nice to celebrate my 21st with a drink.
