Woooh! We have another newbie to our arrival group , Welcome to the group Russ, Congratulations on getting through the interview and getting a place, you must be chuffed at being offered a date so soon. I turn 25 in September, argh, old!

I think our visa appointments should be about 5 weeks before we go, correct me if I'm wrong though guys! It's quite simple, you fill in a form online, submit a picture, book an appointment and go down to the embassy in London and your Visa gets posted back to you in about a week.

Thomas, I haven't booked my flight yet, but I'm flying with Daniel on the 18th/19th I believe!!

Southworth, you're going to be my replacement in Merch, how crazy, they have already replaced me, tehehe, congrats on getting through!

Yeah Russ we're going from Manchester, either the 18th or 19th with Delta or Virgin. Delta is super cheap but not sure whether to pay the extra and just go direct with a little less hassle. How early you planning on going exactly?

We just need to decide the date, we are going to get a cheap hotel for the two nights, probably on I-Drive, and I'm gonna hire a car to get us there and out and about for a few days, before we go to the Commons , If not that then we might book the same hotel as the girls, as thats on Disney property, and you get a transfer, as long as they dont mind us gatecrashing

Have you looked on STA, you're eligible for One-Way special fares as you're under 26, you need to click the box that says under 26, Delta comes in at around £307 one way and Virgin is £418 as it stands inclusive of taxes, you have to play around with the dates though, I think the 19th is cheaper, hope this helps.

Is the return flight really £200, including tax? which website have you seen that on, Im booking it now if it is

If you booked a return and didn't use it that wouldn't be a problem, you can also book a return for the latest possible date and then change it while your over there when the return flight dates are released, but you would have to pay a fee and most return tickets have a 12 month validity, so you may not be able to travel for long after, without having to buy a brand new ticket. I hope that makes sense, lol.

I'm sure Disney pay for our flights back, though I dont really understand how that works! lol.

 

from what I understand you give Disney your receipts for travel on the 2nd day or something and sign to confirm it, then they give you a cheque back for that amount on your last day, so keep receipts if you get a taxi to the airport.

 

Just to help if your getting confused at all. We went with STA as they booked it all we just confirmed it was the flight we wanted, at the time is was the cheapest way for us to book about £350 for a one way flight, were flying with BA. Then staying at teh Disney all star music resort, for about £100 for the two nights for both of us. Really good deal and also we have transport laid on from the airport to all the parks and the hotel. Also they will collect our luggage from the hotel and deliver to our room so we dont need to worry about it. Very worth it as i am taking two suitcases!!! LOL.

Any questions on booking anything give me a shout, We will have to arrange a big September meet up once you all get there, I cant believe that the 6th September lot only have 81 days until we move into our new flats. Scary. You guys must be so excited. xx

Were flying BA from gatwick...its at 11-35am and gets to Florida at 3-35pm and then were staying at the all star music resort for 3nights good times...then were were gonna do some shopping and poss hit seaworld and/or universal

 

wooooooo missed alot in the last 24 hours on here!!

flights were easy enough to book it seemed to be the insurance that has given alot of people the biggest headache so that may be something to look into.

flying on the 17th with Alex and have some Floridian fun before the hard work begins! and yes the more the merrier come on down!

dont worry...they can take a while to come back but yummy wouldn't have given you the date if they didn't think it was going to come back in time because they could have given it to someone who was waitlisted and already had their crb back so dont panic

mine came back in a bout 5 weeks i think it was and i sent mine really late...i also sent another one off in feb for the job i have at the moment and that one came back pretty quickly as well

 

Some people from our round of applications went out a month after the interviews as there were spaces to fill and they had no problems at all. I'm sure it'll be fine I had one done last month for work and it came though in 3 days! x

 

All 20 pages of it, someone was a bad girl...
