I wish I'd brought more going out clothes with me...but like smart/casual stuff. People don't tend to do really dressing up to go out.

Kmp, if I'm at work, I usually do what you do. I get up, mong about in my PJ's, get ready for work, come home, find out if we're going anywhere or not and if not, put my PJ's back on hahaha. When you take your costume off, PJ's feel soooooooo good hehe.

In terms of straighteners, I brought my GHD's with me, but they don't work, so I got some for like $15 from Walmart and they work just fine, and my hairs really thick. My mate who's also got GHD's, hers work though, so I'm really hoping mine didn't just break on the plane. If you wanna save a bit of room in your suitcase, just get some cheap ones out here.

Don't forget to bring a couple of adaptors too. I only brought one and have to borrow my roommates sometimes, like if I'm on my laptop, but need to charge my phone at he same time.

There are rediculous amounts of eateries! I wouldn't worry about the lack of Nandos hehe.

I think the GHD issue is that the older models didn't like american voltage, but the newer ones have been made so that they do?

I can remember a couple of years ago loads of people in the news (probably on watchdog actually...) who had gone to america and their straightners blown up!!

Yeah, my hair is naturally curly....and develops a nice frizz when wet. x x x x

    I have the same plan!!!

As for hair straightners i normally just tie my hari up it too hot to wear down but if i really need some i will ither buy cheap ones or borrow them off you guys as you seem to be bringing them :p

Hope eveyone is wkd i offically break up for study leave next Friday which is my last day of proper school ever SO exciting an it my 18th which is an added bonus!!

I got my pack yeasterday, too, haven't had a chance to read it yet though. I was in the kitchen and my Mum, sister and her husband were all there, I was like "My Disney pack is here! My DISNEY PACK is here!"
They all just looked at me like "Yeah, whatever" and continued their conversation....
    (There's no favourite child in my family...honest ;) )
No nandos :( I eat that at least once a week. Ah well, Golden Corale's Jack Daniels Bourbon Glazed Chicken will make a niiice substitute. :D
Looking forward to 'smore pop tarts, churros, purple rain gatorade, IHOP pancakes with strawberries and maple syrup, the freshly squeezed lemonade in Disney...mmmm....Yes, I will come back the size of an actual house.

I am going to buy loads of clothes from Rue21 and Steve and Barry's (not to be confused with Ben and Jerry's, which is equally delightful) , fell in love with them last time I was in florida.

So exciting about your last days of school Lucy!
Best of luck to everyoone taking exams right now xxxx

Red, Golden Corale's Jack Daniels Bourbon Glazed Chicken sounds like a mouthful to say when ordering it but it does sound so delicious!

I'm hoping to buy more stuff from Roxy etc as it was so cheap when I went to New York and experience the other shops...Its a shame they don't have Bench out there as I love their clothes!

Looking forward to the food again too. In NY I had a 3 course meal for $16.99!! So much cheaper than here. I miss Life Savers, Jolly Ranchers, Lucky Charms, Fruit Loops, Frosties (they are more sugar coated than here), Chips Ahoy and Double Stuffed Oreos plus much more! lol

Good luck also to those that have exams etc. My final exam is Monday and my final essay is due on Friday :D Going to miss education though...x

OMG Lucy! You've not heard of iHOP!

Although I've never been there, I been told by my American friends that it is a MUST TRY! Basically it's a fast food restaurant that's like open 24/7. I think that they sell everything and are maybe slightly Diner-ish?

But it's quite common to go out drinking/clubbing until the early hours and then go to IHOP for some food. Being drunk in IHOP is a must! I have been told my American friend Lexi, that I MUST text her the first time I'm at IHOP after midnight!! LOL! ;D

Lucy, it's the International House Of Pancakes. It's awesome, I was there last week hehe. You can get an omlette stuffed full and 3 pancakes for like $9. And it's only 25c to get there on the bus.

Kmp, Golden Corale is a buffet, so you needn't worry about having to say it lol. It's ace, I'm considering it for breakfast this morning lol. The breakfast buffet is about $7-8 and it's all you can eat...and if you go near 12 you can eat all the lunch stuff when they bring it out too hahaha.

Dave, I'm still working out how to get to the Cheescake Factory as I flippin love cheesecake and everyone raves about it lol. It's up by Millenia though which is miles away without a car. Think I may have worked out a bus plan though ;D

All this talk of IHOP is making me hungry. McDonalds pancakes just aren't the same here!
Although, McDonalds Bistro...Waffles....Oh my actual god, they are just delightful.
(McDonalds Bistro - Where Fast food meets posh food) Bizarre but an absolute must.
Can anyone tell me if there is a KFC or Popeyes near to us? Kfc with mashed potatoes instead of fries. Genuis and just not an option in this country.
I am determined to go to Taco Bell. Never been because my Mum hates mexican food and has refused each and every time we have been to florida to take me there. Rubbish.

    Just noticed...

Under 200 days for me now!

You lucky people who have less than 100 days :)

Get the iRide up to Stop #1 (Prime Outlets), stay on the same side of the road and walk about 20 paces to the Lynx bus stop. Get on the #24 which runs at 28mins past the hour, every hour until 17:28. Make sure you tell the driver you want the Mall at Millenia as there's no specific bus stop for the mall. The driver will usually grunt at you, drop you off, then it's a 5min walk in a straight line through the car park into Macy's.
The Cheesecake Factory is at the opposite end, underneath Urban Outfitters & Forever21.
Tip: Get the 30th Anniversary Cheesecake - it's simply incredible.

Has anyone been out in the middle of summer yet?
I am a bit concerned that I wont cope with the heat! I went in June a few years ago and I am pretty sure it was so damp and humid that I grew moss on my bum. Sorry for the overshare. looking forward to a tan though!
Looking forward to American TV. They have all the best shows over there!
And now I want to eat Pancakes and Cheesecake.
    xx
