And i don't know whats in my pack yet as i wont get it till i go home this weekend eeekk so exciting i want it now!!

i recieved my CRB form about a week after i found out i had been offered the position, have sent that off and recieved my CRB certificate back. But i still havent recieved my pack yet, so i called Yummy Jobs today and they are sending it out this week :-D

 

Hey thats so cool! Do you have to pay for the CDB check to be done? I had one done last year at my current work and they sponsered it.

 

Yeah i had a check when i worked at Alton Towers, and they sponsered it for me aswell.

Its £55 :-\ which sucks a bit, but its for Disney lol so i dont mind!

but what colour is the certificate? A light green by any chance? It's just that I received an 'important looking' letter at home, so instead of opening it, like my Mum usually does , she sent it here straight away. Which means I'm not going to get it for a least a week or so, I just wanna know what it is! Whether it's something else even more important that the CRB Certificate!?


Ahh well! On another note, I dyed my hair yesterday for Disney!

Naturally I'm a dark blonde, light brown colour (I was white blonde when I was younger), so for years I've been bleaching/highlighting my hair and recently I bleached my whole head, which was PAINFUL but looked straight up cool as! But one for the first things that Jill said to me in my interview was 'What's your natural hair colour?'. She could tell that is had been bleached as it did not match my eyebrows! She was like 'You're gonna have to change the colour'. DAMN!

But nevermind...so alas...I got it coloured to a light brown to try and get rid of all the blonde, so by the time I go in 4 1/2 months all the blonde and brown colour should be out!

But now I look like JUSTIN BIEBER!! Noooooooo!

 

:-( re. the hair. My friend recently dyed hers white and has been using granny shampoo on it to make it last!

I soooo wish I had the same colour hair as when I was younger (golden blonde...and ringlets) but now it's dark brown (still curly though) !!! Gutted.

On a similar note- I have some new ish GHDs...they'll work in Florida won't they?

On the GHD note, they should do as long as you have the US travel adapter plug. I know my friend took hers when we went to NY and they worked perfectly fine there.

Kim - I remember when she told you that!!! Glad you have managed to sort it but your hair did look cool at the F2F!

Don't worrie Kim the fisrt thing she said to me was

Great more money now for a silly pair oh well a small price to pay for DINAY!!

 

I get the hair thing, but I think the glasses thing is a bit ott...don't we need to have a specific colour watch too...I like my purple watch... x x x

What glasses are you not allowed to wear? Mine have got brown frames. I'm worried now incase I can't wear them and I really dont want to get new ones or contacts. x

 

There are rules about the colour of your watch? I didnt realise that. I dont actually have one so when I get one Ill just have to make sure its the right colour. Quite relieved to hear that the ghds will work though!


Lucy, and anyone else who's booked their flights already, did you just get flights for your start date or did you decide to get one for a day or two before? Does getting an earlier one raise any problems with visas, and do you need to wait until visa stuff is sorted before you book?
I'm starting to realise just how much stuff there is to sort out! Luckily Ive got quite a while, but I would like to book flights asap so I'm hoping they send us the promised info soon.

YO!!

MY glasses have black plastic frames which are fine but the inside are painted bright red!!

Your think your allowed any style glasses as long as they are a natural colour such as brown, black or tortashell hope that helps!!

And i booked my flight for my start date as i did not want to have to mess around with sorting out acommidation as you can't move into the disney complexes until your start date!! however i think on your visa you fly out up to 7 days before but not sure?

Defo book your flight now though as they are cheap i went to STA traval and got a return for £495 BA direct which was cheaper then going to the BA website which said it would be £700 for a single!!!

Anywho good luck with all that OMGoodness i can't wait to go out there and meet eveyone in person rather then over the internet lol!!

 

Will be soooo good to meet every one! Do you have a direct flight to Orlando or do you need to change? I want to go with Continental as I have a travel coupon with them, return is £450 but single is £600!! If I use my voucher my flight would be around £300 but I will need to change in Newark. Where are you flying from?

Your glasses sound cool! Mine have got yellow tips but I guess they should be acceptable, she didn't say anything to me at the F2F. x

I'm flying from Gatwick i think BA direct as i didn't not want to mess around with connecting flights however if you have a coupon that would be good to use!!

Hi, Im starting on the 2nd nov doing merch. I did post before, but no worries!

Yea I thought I might just stay in a cheapish hotel or something, just because I didnt want to start off all tired and jetlagged. I hope that is true about the visa, I was worried that they might not let me into the country if I tried to go early! but I have heard that quite a few people do it, so it will hopefully be ok. Ill have to ask the yummy people.
So you havent got your visa yet, but you've already booked your flight, is that right?
