i am 21 and from northampton, just finished uni this year and am currently working as a trainee estate agent for barratt homes which is what i want to do eventually. cant wait to get out to the USA though. it is like a home away from homeas have been to florida loads but cant wait, am so excited.

Hey December lot! You excited yet? It's wierd, i only got out here in sept but the whole life feels so normal now. Not done anything remotely exciting, just work work work, bennigans, house of blues, UK Lasses, been to see hanson and the Bravery which were both equally as awesome. Emma can vouch for the hanson experience.

Wanna here something freaky? You'll be crying when we leave and we havn't even met yet! And the people that will be crying when you leave probably don't even know that they've got the job yet... Freaky.

I've keeping tabs with this board, as you are all very fun to listen to. My real name is Chase, but I have a few nicknames that I usually answer to before I will to Chase. I'm from Ontario, Canada, I'm 19, and I can't wait to meet you guys. Just to let you know how much I want this job, I dropped out of college, the best 3 months of my life , and gave up a job as a lumberjack to be able to do this, so I cannot WAIT to get down there. I guess the lumberjack thing works perfectly with those costumes they have us Canadian cast members wearing, eh? I'll be arriving December 6th, working f&b in the Canadian pavilion. lol no i didnt. im coming back for a months holiday though on dec 13th. which will be great! i went back for a week 6 weeks ago too.

things in the uk are going well now. iv got some things on the go, and things are getting better.

Hey amy, i was born in Balloch in loch lomand but ive been living in the city centre of Glagsow for about three years now! i had my interview at Glasgow metroplitan college cause i studied travel and tourism there so that was handy!
ok do u know where Glasgow university is? if u do then thats great cause Glasgow metropolitan college is just across the street from that! so are standing out side the Union, turn right and go up the hill with stairs and Glasgow metrolpitan college will be right infront of ya!

dont worry u will be fine i was nervous about mine and didnt think that i had a hope in hell of getting the job but here iam now so thats all good! just aact confident and am sure u will be fine my love!

Isn't it across from Strathclyde Uni that you mean? Not sure but that's was where I had my interview in 2000! I was at Strathclyde Uni at the time so only had to cross the road for the interview............very handy!!! Than had the most amazing year of my life in Florida!!! ;D

Sara - Oh my god your alive!!!!! I was wondering what had happened to you!!!

 

God, I missed Irn bru so much when I lived out there! My parents came to see me twice and my sister once so both times they brought some with them! And one of the Welsh guys I worked with went home for a week so he brought me a 2L bottle of Irn Bru back from Wales!!!! ;D I even had my mum bring me some when I worked on the ship when they came on to cruise!!!

The cruise line is great if you're prepared for hard work. Especially if you were going to do Food & Bev! Those guys work VERY hard on there in the dining room but they make a lot of money! Probably 3 times would I made in a contract in merchandise! But merchandise was one of the easier jobs on the ship although we still did 70+ hours a week! (why am I thinking about going back??!!!) It really is just getting used to the lifestyle. I hated my first week onboard but loved it after that! Only had to leave for family reasons at home. I think it's much easier onboard if you do the IP first because then you only have to get used to once new thing, ship life as you already know what the whole Disney thing is about. But you do have to keep that smile on 24/7 even on long, long days at sea!!!!

Hope you're not suffering from too many Irn Bru withdrawals!!! ;D
