However I am pretty sure that you cant work at first with a green card or a fiance visa as you have to prove that you are married and that your partner is willing to support you until you can work (I think its a minimum of a year). I have a friend who went through this process and to actually get her visa was such a pain ... luckily they were very in love so it was worth it! But I guess they do it to stop people marrying to get in the country!!!
i think its 6 months, and your not allowed to go out of the USA during that time either as far as i know.
its offical,we ARE allowed to reapply ;D heres the email i just got from YJ: "With regards to the Cultural Representative Program, you are able to apply again for the program. Below you will find criteria for a second application for CRP. Please note your rehire status will be checked with Disney if you apply for a second program Thanks" General Guidelines: Former Cultural Representatives can apply for a second program and return for an additional CRP experience. Participants are allowed to participate in no more than two (2) Cultural Representative Programs. Candidates must reside and been physically present outside of the United States for the immediate prior year between programs. Former participants must follow Disney International Recruitment’s established hiring process in their country which could include being prescreened by a hiring representative. There is no guarantee that a former participant would be selected for a pre-screen or Disney interview. All candidates will be evaluated on a consistent set of criteria and the strongest candidates will be invited to interview. All former participants of the Cultural Representative Program, regardless of their employment with WDW or an Operating Participant, follow these same guidelines. Participants of other Disney International Programs (i.e. ICP-Summer Work Travel, J1 Academic) are also permitted to participate in two Cultural Representative Programs. Candidates must fulfill any required home residency requirements outlined by the US Department of State in accordance with the J-1 visa regulations. Application Process: Candidates interested in returning on the CRP program should ensure that they understand and meet the above guidelines. After candidates have been home for six months following their first program, they are eligible to apply for a second experience by following our standard process which may include contacting a hiring representative in their home country. Additional information on the application process can be found on our website at www.disneyinternationalprograms.com Current participants are not eligible to apply for a second program while in the United States and still actively completing their first program. Good news! Good luck to everying hoping to do it a second time- hopefully you'll be able to offer lots of tips to us newbies
I am going to apply again once more ;D... the applications stay open until at least July 15th this time. I asked because I wont have internet access from June 17th till July 2nd
oo thats handy to know thanks. i thought it would be around august like last year! dont want to be missing that apply now button by waiting too long
So what are you all putting in your CV/ cover letters.....my cover letter is going to be forcusing on my previous experience, the skills and familiarity with disney that i gained there, and how id like to turn this experience into real high quality career direction(regardless of the fact that actually, i just want to go to Florida for another year )
Mine is pretty much the same! Just focusing on how much I love working for the company, what skills I gained on my previous programs and how doing the CRP is an integral part of my Disney career! (or what I hope someday will be a career!)
the key phrase is exagerations-exagerate everything-hopefully the fact that ive done an ICP and CRP, which i loved, as well as having some christmas work in a Disney store(which i absolutely detested.....but i wont be telling them that ) will prove that i have SOMETHING disney likes
So excited! But also nervous... if I don't get this (and I know the odds are against me) I'll be so devastated. So I'm just working hard on my application and keeping my fingers crossed!! x
my letter of motivation is SO long.......literally,its about 2,000 words and this is only my first draft!
not long now, hopefully w/c 21st will be a good 1 for us all, as well as applying for the CRP on the wed I get my degree results and its the closing date for a job i've applied for fingers crossed for us all
what makes you say that the odds are against you??? I wish it was the 21st now and we could just send our applications in and be done with it,altho then the real wait starts to see who gets into the telephone interviews etc. Last time i applied in the August, got asked for a telephone interview early september, had the telephone interview late september and got offered the f2f interview at the end of the call,f2f was in late October (as far as i can remember) and found out i had got the job on November 30th for an April start date!
