UK Applicants Summer 2014

I've given up, i'm going to try after work tomorrow (I'm not sure they'll even be open, it's technically a bank holiday!)

My account has finally been verified, I'm applying for Disney again this summer. Only got as far as the pre screens last year so fingers crossed this year!!

 

What's the verdict? Do I even bother going on the Yummy Jobs site tonight?

 

Nope! Don't bother! Still all the same issues - YJ haven't replied to my e-mail yet. Will let you know when they do!

 

I'm surprised its taking them this long to fix it :/! I'm also waiting on a reply from them about the problems I'm having with it... But they replied to an email I sent them after that about which format they prefer when uploading cv, photo, etc. (cause I got a lil paranoid since it didn't really say)..

In other news - Just got an email from the Disney Cruise Line about a job I applied for where they "have determined that stronger candidates exist for this position." *shakes fist*

Oh well "Keep Moving Forward" ;D

 

Awwww that is such a shame Could they not have phrased in a slightly nicer way as well? I bet you were plenty strong enough! Oh well, maybe it is a good indication for the ICP or whatever it goes by nowadays.

I haven't submitted it yet so I dunno if I should wait it out or just go ahead and send her the correct stuff?

Yes I got an email from her too! She seemed to mis-understand it and think I had already submitted the application!

I think i'm going to wait a few more days and see if it gets fixed......I can't believe they haven't done anything about it yet - this application is proving to be way more stressful than I was anticipating! :-[



It appears you can now add more than two places of experience - are you guys just sticking with two, or putting everything??

Still don't seem to have sorted out the main issues though, and it doesnt look like you can change the photo attached to the application, even if you havent submitted

 

I'm gonna have a wee nosy at it tonight and see what's changed, think I might put it all on, even the unpaid stuff. My photo is awful, but never mind. They'll see me in the flesh if I actually get to interview!

 

Yeah think I might just wait until they've fixed it... hopefully before applications close !

I'm going to put all my work experience in since they all seem pretty relevant to it

As for changing your photo I remember seeing a sentence beside the picture that you could add or change it from the documents bit... but it seems to have gone now :/?

 

I guess if they can change/add to your application from 'back of house', then possibly they can change the photo too if you send it...
Really hope it can be changed though!

Seeing as I still need to finish my cover letter and all that jazz, I still have some days to kill before submitting anyways. Closing date for Academic Exchange is the 24th anyway so I still have like 2 and three-quarter months *prays they do not close early*

(I'm the girl from the 'kateatuniversal' tumblr someone linked a while back ^_^)

Anyone thinking of applying for Universal- DO IT! I didn't get past the phone interviews for the Disney program last year, so decided to go for Universal and it was amazing! I know it's not Disney, but you're still doing the same job and you can go to Disney all the time!

Just sent in my application for this year and it changed some of the details after I clicked submit :-\ The date I started uni and when I left school have changed, which is a bit annoying...

 

I read your tumblr ages ago (last summer ). You are amazing and always helping with people's questions. Seemed like you had a great time Just send Yummy Jobs an email including the correct the correct information. They seem to have no issue changing it. Good luck for this year.

I might apply for Universal if I don't get through to Disney. Apparently there's a good chance of being place in the New Wizarding World Extension since it's opening next summer.

 

Another email from Elena.....for some reason! Although it has different information to her original one!

So basically, we just submit, and then send her anything that's incorrect. I will wait until the weekend, and then give that a go!

 

YJ all seems to be working well now apart from the currently employed button! I might just submit my application (a week later than expected, hurrah!) and email them to say that I should be currently employed but it wouldn't work

Even more has gone wrong with mine now! It has replaced ALL the dates with 01/01/1970, won't mark anything as currently employed, and now, for the first time, it's decided to delete half the stuff I had in the boxes! ARRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHH.

It would be so much easier if they asked us to just send it all in a word document, or via email instead, which is what we'll end up doing by the looks of it anyway! :'(

 

I'm definatley applying for Universal! When do applications usually open?

 

When I applied it was around October/ November. I'm not sure what it was last year, but I think someone mentioned they'r starting again in October this year? (But don't hold me on that!!)
