I guess that's why they have auditions for face characters, because you're pretty much acting constantly. It is amazing though!

    I LOVE STITCH TOO! ;)

Also...being a face character is pretty much my dream job.......unfortunately I don't look like anyone though! :'(

You can be a fur character on the ICP, but no-one seems to answer my questions about it when I ask people that have done it before.......i've heard that if you get that as your role, you have to pass an audition when you get to Florida, and if you dont pass, you can be sent home again! No one will tell me if it's true though!

Going to have one more stab at fixing my application today, and then it'll be another email to Yummy Jobs! It's literally taking over my life..i have spent nearly all day for the past three days trying to get it to work!

    Right, question for you guys.....

The bit where you put two places of work experience....are you putting exactly the same as what's on your CV, or are you writing more/something different?

Copying and pasting from my CV! What are you putting in the final comments box?

Cool thanks! In the final comments box, I've put a few other responsibilities I've had (that aren't jobs on the CV....like prefect, Learning Support Assistant etc...roles at school where you got a special badge basically! :p) , and i've done a sort of concluding sentence that concludes the entire application. I've also said that I am fully CRB/DBS checked.

Getting so frustrated with the form not working now though...I just want to submit it!!

No I don't believe that's true. I was going to apply for character performer and for ICP applicants theres no audition at all. I know someone who was character performer on the ICP amd she was just thrown straight into training.

ohhh well this changes EVERYTHING. :D Although not sure i'd be able to stand outside in the heat in a a costume like that! :-[

Yeah I was thinking about the heat too. I'm a shortie so I think I would have had a bit of an advantage because they need really small or really tall people. But it doesn't matter now anyway now that I can't apply this year :( oh well Universal it is!

I'm Pluto height, which is the most common category unfortunately! So not sure i'd have much chance!

I feel so bad for everyone that can't apply - I'd be devastated! Especially as a few people even asked Yummy Jobs and were told they could...they must have known there had been changes? ??? Hopefully you'll get there eventually though! ;D

ps...anyone figured out how to change the passport-like picture on your application?? I've just taken some more attractive ones :p

I'd be mouse height and obviously Mickey and Minnie are both very busy mice within the parks so I think I'd have a pretty good chance hahaa :)

I felt so let down after having my heart set on it, spent ages on my CV and cover letter but at least I'll be extremely prepared for next year. I do feel a lot better about it now though because I can always apply next year. I'll get more experience and at least I can maybe still get to Florida through the Universal program. I mean the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is pretty cool :) yep I was one of those people that emailed Yummy Jobs and was told that I was very welcome to apply this year. Oh well it can't be helped and maybe it's something telling me that this year isn't the right year for me to apply. it'll be nice to follow everyones blogs/vlogs who I've met on here as well :)

You're so great looking on the positive side of everything! Plus, by next year they'll hopefully have ironed out all the kinks in the new website and application process! ;D

Well I've got to be positive about it, I admit I did have a bit of a cry when I found out that I couldn't apply, oops :/

I had a feeling that the website might have a few issues, it always seems like new websites have problems when they first launch. I hope everything sorts itself soon for you all :)

I know how you feel! I'm still a little down about it, I feel like applying for this was all I've literally been thinking about for the past few months :( But oh well, as you said at least we'll be extra prepared for next year! :) I still can't decide whether or not to apply for Universal though... Is there a forum for it like this one for disney? Feel bad keep discussing it on these forums!

I mentioned to my mums friend about j1 visas since she works in a student union. Apparently the requirements for a j1 have changed, that's why Disney can no longer accept anyone who is only about to start university. So it's not Yummy Jobs fault. It's because of the US embassy who changed it.

I'm so gutted for everyone who can't apply, really bad year to change the requirements. :(

Yeah the guy on yummyjobs told me it was something to do with America changing their visa policies :(
I don't understand how the Universal jobs will work though, as surely isn't that the same visa? ???

I think it's because by the time you'd be applying for the visa for universal you would have had a chance to complete your first semester, since applications don't open for that until october (I think??) [also laughing because my first classes of semester one aren't until october!!!]

Same, I keep trying to be positive but still get a wave of sadness. I spent so many hours watching Disney videos and reading blogs so I feel a bit lost now! Yeah I was having trouble deciding whether to apply, I much prefer Disney! But I thought I'm going to be so depressed next summer if I have to stay in England instead of Florida, plus it would always be experience for Disney. I would definitely buy a Disney annual pass if I was accepted to Universal. I've tried searching for the Universal program stuff but I can barely find anything, unlike with Disney. In fact, when I google the program it just leads me to the Disney stuff which just adds to the whole sadness at not being able to apply :( however the people who are doing Universal blogs seem to enjoy it.

Its the same visa but yummy jobs told me disney changed there policy not the visa people, im pretty sure the universal final interviews are in February so by then the first semmester will be over anyway!
