U.K January 2010 Applicants

Not completely the same, but my friend met an American lad while she was out there (doing ICP). She came back here in Aug, but they've stayed together and when he visited, they got engaged! I guess like kazmanatee said, it just depends on how much you want it to work....and skype helps lol.

 

it's worrying but we're both willing to work.

I was reading through another post and was wondering what people would do if they got through - would you go for the group flight or book your own? I'd want to do my own - cause then you get the choice/I'd want to fly with a certain airline & direct - but the group flight sounds fun!!

 

Do u mean a group flight as in all bookinh together and lots of CRP'rs goin on one flight? If so I'd love that, and I'd prob go for tht option

 

I think so. But then you have the cost of it taken out of your wages each week... which I think I'm gonna need the wages haha.

 

Ahh yh thts true, if they take it out ur wages each week I'll just book my own, tell everyone my flight number and start my own group lol

 

From the little detail given, you both sound eligible. Age isn't a problem, some people well into their 30s have applied. Personally, I'm 21, but I think people on here are anything from 18 to 30. I'm just wondering what you guys would do if one of you got it and the other didn't. Worth thinking about.

Personally, I'll be wanting to go out there a couple of days beforehand. Make a mini holiday of it with my Boyfriend. (Sad that we've planned this but...) We'd fly from Bristol to New York. Spend a couple of days there, then fly to Florida, stay a couple of days and pick up anything I hadn't brought with me that I'd need, then he'd fly back on the day that I'd move into the Disney apartment.

I think yummy helps co-ordinate flights, so even if you don't go with the Disney booked one, they'll let you know who (if anyone) else is on the same flight as you. Which is quite good, in my opinion. Get to meet people at the airport, get all excited together, and know you're with people who'll be feeling the same as you... excited, apprehensive, nervous about leaving home etc etc. Moral support, and all that jazz!

 

I'd rather do it the way Gary said, all book the same flight but pay here, so it's not coming out of your wages and i'd wanna be going out a couple of days earlier and chill out a bit. Safer to do that as well in case of delays etc

Wow! To say its only 11 days till january there is not much action goin off here!
Hopefully people are too hung up on christmas and new year and forget about applying, gives us a better chance then hehe

 

lol!! my internet has been down cos of all the snow!! its crazy!! so excited!! does anyone know how long the process generally is? like from applications - to hearing if you got through to telephone interview or if you didn't?

 

well in the August apps, people generally found out about phone interview with then second week of august, but as with anything, you cannot promise that time range again

 

I think we should start a thred saying january aplications have been cancelled i wonder if that would cut a few people off thehehehe ;D

Yehhh I watched it, looks amazinggggg never really fancied a cruise but that looked great, the new disney dream ship looks amazing with all the stuff on itt
