I VERY much agree with this... 40 hours a week= me practically living at my work!

Hi guys! I'm a total newbie on this forum ;D and OMG after reading about CRP at Disney, I've never been so excited about anything in my life!

Just got a quick question though as a first time applicant.
I'm from London and have recently completed my degree in Biochemistry (useless!!!) I've got about 18 months part time experience working in Sainsburys (checkouts and stacking shelves) and a couple of temp holiday jobs before that e.g. working at Wimbledon and at the Oval cricket ground serving food for a couple of weeks. Think this is enough experience??

Good luck to everyone applying!! :)

Hi, I am brand new to the site and all of this but have been reading about the cultural representive programme since my brother went a couple of years ago ! I just wanted to get a few questions answered if thats okay. Firstly i've not long been 18 but do have some work experiance in leisure, restaurants and bar work but will my age effect my application ? On the yummyjobs website it says that I should apply in January for a chance to work in late 2010 so should I wait till then or apply before? It would be awesome if I could get out to Disney for my gap year and i've just learnt that my local town just became twinned with Walt Disney World Florida and have a small part dedicated to it at the UK pavillion.

Many thanks to anyone who answers any of these questions and apologies if they have been repeatedly asked :)

Ooooh! Which town was it that won the twinning competition then?! Bristol was in the shortlist, I know that much. (being in Bristol, that's the one that matters to me :p)
As for your age, it won't affect your application at all. They don't care how old you are as long as you're over 18. The only way being younger can affect the application is that younger people often don't have the work experience. It also affects your time out there as you won't be allowed to drink alcohol, American laws, 21, usual stuff.
Application date, I believe most of us are sending in our apps on Jan 1st or something. You can send it in before, but it just means you're nearer one end of the pile of applications they have to go through.

Thanks for the reply ! The town is Swindon that won it in the end and will get some signs put up around the town and at Epcot! It's good to know about the alcohol and stuff and just realised my working behind a bar won't matter much over there seeing as I have to be 21. Alright I think i'll send mine in on the 1st of January aswell, thanks for the help :)

ahhh i'm excited and nervous again. I don't want to be rejected again, that would suck so much.

Anyway scared that they'll miss home too much if they go? I'll miss my parents and boyfriend a ton.

Has anyone who's been before, been in a serious relationship and kept it while they were away?

Hey guys...just realised I haven't written on here since October...whoops. Blame stupid uni work. Have also been applying for proper grown up jobs too, incase the disney dream doesn't happen, and if it does can see if I can postpone real work for a year!

I have a friend working as a performer at Paris over xmas and her photos look like so much fun!!

Everyone excited for xmas? I am lots. Oh, and I soooo wish I lived in Swindon...

I'm applying now, and I've been with my bf for over 3 years... I think as long as you want it to work and make the effort you should be fine!! Just download skype when you get there and try to arrange a week or two weeks in the middle where maybe he can come out and see you?

Hello another newbie to the site, myself and my girlfriend are from belfast I graduated from uni last year and she did a couple of years ago. I'm 24 and shes 26 we're both bored with our jobs here and wanna go away and work this sounds like good fun. But are we both eligable to apply? are most people in the programme younger?
