With regards to work experience, I think that they are looking for people who have at least a year's work experience, so you know the basics of customer service/interaction. I get the impression that they don't have time to train you as such, within a week of arriving you get chucked into the deep end and have to fend for yourself! But that said this job is slightly different to most others, due in most to that fact that it's Disney. They are searching for a particular type of person with the right 'Disney' attitude, often regardless of what work experience you may or may not have. If you have the 'X factor' then you're in! Covering Letters are always important when applying for a job. They should be designed and written with that particular job in mind! But again there doesn't seem to a right or wrong way to apply with Yummy Jobs, people have gotten through with/without Covering Letters, with/without work experience... etc.
In terms of standard job applications, I'll agree with this. But in terms of applying to the CRP, your CV should be written specifically for it. If that's the case, you don't necessarily need a cover letter. I'm not saying *don't* write one, I'm saying that if you're CV includes everything it should, then a CL *shouldn't* be necessary. Either way, I'll probably still include one
My CV was designed specifically for the CRP so guess thats why my CV was OK without the cover letter!
I didn't do a cover letter or tailor my CV specifically for the CRP and I got through to the F2F Mind you I have 5 years in F&B so that may have swayed it.
That's what I mean, some people have a CL and others don't. It's just a personal preference! I'm going to write a CL to go with my CV, as my CV is quite descriptive and I'm going to use the CL to emphasise myself and skills etc.
OOOO haven't been on for ages!! Have been working 45hr weeks recently Sucks but lots of money!! How is everyone? Not long till applications open eeeep!

My CV is getting there now. Im well proud of myself fo what i have done so far! this one is SURE to be a winner! as for sending my CV off. Im not sure yet. Maybe around the christmas period. BUTTTT, on my YJ profile it is still saying i cannot apply for anything as i still have a job application in process? It will be from august apps but surely i wil be aloud to apply again come the time? Wont i? :S
Didn't you try and be clever and apply for it again in August? As I did the same thing mine says I still have an application in process so you may have to e-mail Michelle when the applications open again and say that you have applied ... just to make sure. ;D
I had same problem as tried to apply more then once….I e-mailed them and asked them to delete my profile and started again!!!! Can’t wait I really really hope I get a phone interview!!!!
Can we send our Application off before Jan 1st? Surely we have to wait until Jan 1st to be able to apply?
I think you can send it in whenever but not 100% but applied very early last time and it seemed that people who applied nearer the time had more chance getting a phone interview. This might be completly fase just my opnion so i would wait until January!!!
Just read all the last 32 pages hahaha finally got back on here after going away to Orlando and working my bum off since august haha i'm also a fellow McPerson, soon to be crew trainer then onto floor manager, whoop. I agree, McDonalds is a great place to work if you work in a good restaurant Good luck to everyone for the January applications, i'll be working on my CV soon
