Hey Does anyone know how to change your profile pic on here i'm board of mine now oh and who to add a caption or whatever?? ;D
Hi guys! Just a quick question! I'm hoping to apply for the CRP in Jan 2010 and I was wondering whether on your actual CV/Resume/Covering Letter you should write which area of the United Kingdom Pavilion you are applying for?, i.e F & B, in the shops or any other positions, or is that only for the ICP? How much work experience do the people at Yummy Jobs generally look for? Thanks for any replies! Kim
Hi there Kim. welcome to WDWIP to answer your question, i don't know of anyone that has stated where they are wanting to work on their CV or cover letter. i think once you get to the face to face interview they ask your preferences of what you would rather do, 1st and second (as there are only F&B and merch places available in the UK pavilion). then they take it from there. i think at the moment they are looking for more people with experience in food and beverage than anything. people with lots of management skills would be a help. and people in retail. hope this helps
They ask you which area you are looking at applying for in the phone interviews. I think they can judge as well from your CV by looking at where most of your experience is from. There are more positions available in food and beverage- however if you only have experience in retail then they may only consider you for that. I was asked when I had a phone interview back in february, and because I only had experience in retail, even though I said I would be quite happy to work food and beverage they said at that point they could only consider me for merchandise because there are so many applicants. Because of the amount of applicants they can choose people based on their experience. Hopefully this is helpful and good luck!
well recently i have been trying to get a second job as much as i can! i have tried pubs, restaurants even my local little chef! i did also try applying at the Disney store for christmas work last the other month but was too late i just need to find somewhere to add it to my CV to show them how much i want this argghhhhhh! guess i can only hope if i cant find anything, as its getting close to January ALREADY! and one months work at another job wont help much i dont think *fingers crossed*
Hey guys! Its less than 2 weeks until interviews arghhh how excited?! Anyway, I'm just wondering ROUGHLY how many F2F interviews there are at each specific place, and how many get excepted? I read somewhere that in one case, 70 interviews were held and 63 got offered places :S but I heard somewhere else there is a 1:10 ratio (10 applicants for every position) does anyone know?! I am wayyyy too excited already :\ xx
Hey tasha I think it all depends on the amount of people applying. I know a few years back this programme was not as popular and easy to get onto now however everyone seems to want to go (jusk my luck ) so there are more people applying for the same space. It also depends how desperate Disney are for staff as the amount of peole they can recruit each year depends on how bust they think the parks are going to be. but i can tell you i have heard about the whol 10:1 ratio. Hope this helps and good luck....is this your first time applying? Lucy
Heyy Lucy Thanks for the reply! I see what you mean, there are so many people who have got through to F2F !! The 1:10 ratio sounds more beliveable then 63 of 70 getting a place :-\ ! Yeah its my first time applying I'm already excited/nervous and addicted to this site too lol ! Have you applied/got onto the programme before? xx
Cool! Thanks for the info! 8) I would probably apply for the F and B area as I have the experience there. I've been working for 3 1/2 years at McDonalds, whilst at Uni and a year before that at a BHS Restaurant. How many years experience seems to be enough from those who have got in? ;D I'm so excited about the application rounds in January! I'm spending so much time on my CV and covering Letter! I'm getting slightly obessed now...! ;D Viel Glueck im Januar! (I study German!)
Have you tried applying at places like McDonalds? I've worked there for a while now, and honestly it's the best job I've ever had! They are always looking for new people as the turn around of staff is quite high there, and the job is similar to that of a F&B job (I think). It would be good experience in a related line of work to that of the UK Pavilion. I'm lovin' it ;D Ich liebe es ;D
Hey yes i applied in August and got did not get through to phone interview but hey ho i'll just try again!!! this site is good it will get alot busyer around Jauuary it kind of slowed down as so many peole got refuesed but the excitment of applying again will start soon can't wait good luck!!!
Hey What Mcdonalds do you work in?? I've been working in one is Woking for about 6 months now lol crew trainer yay...ish i don't know if it's something to be proud of lol!!!! anywho i've applied once before did not get phone interview but i had only been working a few months then!!! have you applied before??? gud luck!!!
Hi ya! I work in a McDonald's near Peterborough, been there around 3 1/2 years, I'm a crew trainer as well! Not full full time, as I've been at Uni the whole time as well. I think that it is something to be proud of, working at McDonalds. It's a good company to work for.. But I think your opinion and experience of working at the Golden Arches varies greatly, depending on which store you work at. Some are nice and friendly, and some are not run very well, but to a certain extent the job there is what you make it! Do you like working there? Got your stars yet? 8) No, I've not applied for CRP before, I'm going to apply in Jan. I hope my time at McDonald's is enough, I also worked for a year at a BHS Restaurant, but it doesn't say anywhere how many years of experience is needed to be a CRP. Surely there must be a preferred amount, do you know how much? ;D Remember McDonald's' workers are COOL! 8)
HAHAHAHA yer i agree i luckily have a nice store in fact we got our staff christmas party soon AWWW so cool 8)!!! I skipped the stars....I only work holidays yet they wanted me to quite school and become a manager i was like hummm degree....or manger at McDonalds lol!!! I think you exspereince is good and it is for a good length of time....I think what they really want to see is that you are commited to your job and have managed to recieve the proper training lol!!!! I guess we are just too cool for school...quite a few people who have been chosen before worked for Mcdoanlds so it is all good in the hood!!!
