i heard about something like this a time before. i should have really called them to ask instead of emailing them
well thats exactly how my application went. Turned down flat after applying online. But after a polite email reminding them of my skills and dedication to the brand i ended up having a phone interview the next day, invite to the face to face interviews... and now i'm going to florida in June! So yeah, it pays off to be a bit assertive. ;D
well that's just pants. My only advice then is the usual stuff. Look at your CV and see where you can improve it. Every statement should start with a positive word, and the whole thing should be on no more than 2 sides of a4. Simple stuff that's gonna get you noticed and make you stand out. Always get someone to read it with their professional head on, that way you get an idea of how someone who doesn't know you would read it. Try applying for part time work at the Disney Store if you havent before, that's a good stepping stone. At the end of the day they get gazillions of applications, so yours needs to be different, and stand out from the rest (which i know you already know, hope i dont sound patronising). I'm lucky in that i was able to tailor my degree to be based around disney and disney parks, so i guess that made my application stand out. EDIT: If you like, get someone on here who has been accepted to look at your cv, check it over and see how it compares to theirs.
hey guys, jus was on yummy jobs and set up a profile and uploaded my cv and all that stuff but wen u fill in their forms did you all put in loadsa info??? i cannot wait until crp opens thier applications in jan!!!! ;D
HAHAHHA i bet there going to get thousands of us ringing up and beggin for a phone interview now lol!!!! oh i feel so ill i need to go to bed AHHHH!!!
wise words i emailed them to the same thing and got rejected im perfecting my app now and with help for friends who have been accepted so its all gooood ;D Better luck next time ... my nearest disney store is 40 mins away and they have no jobs sob xx
I think that this time round if I don't get a phone interview, then I'll definately send an email asking to be reconsidered! The amount I've been working to improve on my skills gaps, I'd be gutted if I didnt get atleast a phone interview!!!!!
if you ask them really nicely they might point out whats not quite right with your application, but they wont give you a 'to-do' list.
Hey!! Has anyone had a problem getting on the board recently? This is the first time it's worked for me in over a week!!
Mine has been ok but very slow which is very anoyiing i guess theres just to many people trying to log on at once!!!
