yeah i heard about this too. i hope its correct. we will have to let each other know if we hear anyting
Am I the only one here that's knows very little about green cards, as I've never looked into them at all?
if you havnt yet looked into them, i advise you NOT TO!!! its a very complicated/stresfulll thing and after hours upon hours of research, we basicly cant get a geen card unless we have a masters degree, invest 1 million dollars in a company that employs 10 or more american citizens. or of course, mary a american that is the basics lol
I think my biggest confusion here is this: Why do so many of you even *want* green cards? Is america really any better than over here? Depending on where you go, I know for one that the legal system is worse. The rights that emplyees get are worse. Please, tell me what's so great?! I don't want to be missing out!
if i could not work for Disney then i would rather be hear i mean my overall plan is to work for the Merlin gourp you know who own thorpe park, legoland ect...i love theme parks lol!!!
just to be there. orlando has been my dream destination since i was 10. some people like the carribean, so move there. others like europe. so they move there but me. im a orlando guy. so i wanna move there simple lol
Don't get me wrong, I desperately want to see all of America, but I'd never want to live there. I mean, it's bad enough having to sort out contents insurance and car insurance and such... but health insurance too?! Bring on the NHS. And I like the fact that I can't get fired just because my boss is in a bad mood. Unions in the 80s did wonders for workers rights over here. Yes I want to see it all, but I wouldn't want to move away from England. Rain or shine, she's still a great country.
I'd love to live there aswell. If i worked for disney, always wanted to work there. If i didn't have a job i loved i probably wouldn't live anywhere else but Newcastle.
I used to work for Merlin (but before it was Merlin - it was still Tussuad Group) Worked for them for almost five years, and it was great fun! On the whole moving to America thing ..... I think I have to agree with Vikki - I love visiting the USA, I'm lucky enough to have visited loads of different cities and places over there (and I have a list of many more I wanna visit) BUT as much as I love it, I don't think I would wanna live there full time. Even when its wet and rainy like it is this week, England still has a lot of positives.
With me its strange, Im more purpose orientated. Right now, id be happy moving to edinburgh or london and living there. And there are tones of places in europe i would move 2! Right now i would like to experience a little more of america. But as far as moving there??? I dunno, i think i would like to stay in a Britannia state of mind. I definitely wouldn't mind living in either in london or edinburgh forever. Such culture.
Uh little stereotypical! Thats like saying cos im british im really really white and have bad teeth! which is not true! Well i am pasty white! but i have good teeth!!! Maybe we would be fat..... who cares, 99c for an Xlarge Big Mac from Mcdonalds??? Good times
I think that I would love to live in Amercia for a couple of years but Im glad to call Britain my home ;D
