And really, by going to Epcot... you can go to several different countries without all the hassle! And expense...
So very very true. It's all the non-european one's I'm mostly interested in. Don't get me wrong, I love the germans and the french and the rest of them, but I've been there many times before, and plan on going many times again. Epcot world tour, here I come!
That's fair enough! I'd really like to see the European ones, since I've never been to France or Germany or any of them! I'll still probably poke around the UK pavillion quite a bit, even though I've been there several times... Helps when your Dad's from the UK.
I bet it does. Like a friend of mine, she was born in America, so she's been there loads. I, on the other hand, have a mostly English heritage (as much as any English person can say that... we're all Vikings really ) and a mum who doesn't like flying. So the furthest I've been each way is the Algarve in Portugal, Tuscany in Italy, and Patras in Greece. And we only went to Greece because my brother was getting married there. Must say I loved it though. So yea, little british girl has never left europe, and wants to visit the rest of the world in epcot. How crazy does *that* sound?! lol
Hahaha, that's not crazy! It's a lot less expensive, and certainly time-saving! Plus it helps that you'd be working there too, so you'd actually have time to go see everything!
Working and living there means I could see alot more of Florida too. And America is one place I know I want to see ALOT more of.
It's a pretty exciting place. One of my favourite things to do there is go grocery shopping... but that applies to anywhere really. Grocery shopping in foreign countries is always amazing. Where have you been in the States? I've only been to a few states, really. Washington state, because we used to live right next to the border (literally!), California, Idaho, and New York. New York's amaaaazing.
No where at all. As previously said, I've never left Europe. I think that's partly why I really really want to see as much of America as possible. Later in life (ie, when older) I plan on taking a year out... not even working... and riding across as much of America as I can on a Harley-Davidson. Then again, I kinda need my motorbike license before I can even hope to do that.
Oh, shoot, sorry, I missed that. Didn't mean to make you repeat yourself. That sounds like fun! You should definitely do that. And check out Canada, too. I think it's pretty sweet.
Well of course! I'll be planning this year pretty extensively, so if there's time for Canada it will be in the route. Possibly only along the border, but I'm sure I'll get to visit other bits of Canada at some point in my life. I plan on having a good few holidays in my time
That sounds awesome. I plan to do the same with Europe someday. Except not with a motorbike. I assure you, I would most likely end up falling off of the bike and dying.
I'm wanting to do a masive road trip across the states too not on a motorbike though, too scared haha. someone i work with is going on a 2 month trip around europe soon before he has to go back to uni, on his bike if i get onto the program i'm planning on going up to canada after the work is over
Shopping is just so exciting when you're somewhere different than home! I remember one of the last times I went across the border, my Mum and I found Reese's Peanut Butter. In a jar. And it was possibly the most amazing peanut butter I've ever had. Sadly, we don't have it in Canada...
Oh gosh, compared to the U.S. Canada is definitely deprived in terms of the magical things that can be found in American grocery stores! I mean, they have Starbucks ice cream. Enough said. Also, I was in Arizona a few months back and I saw a) High School Musical cereal, and b) Hannah Montana cereal. Does it get any cooler than that?! haha Grocery stores there are one-stop shopping. They even have their alcohol there - unheard of here in Ontario! Gotta go to a totally different store just to get a bottle of wine. Raaaaaandooooom! Plus, their outlet malls win HANDS DOWN! So many great sales, so little time... :
i think everything in Amerca is just soooo much bigger, better and more extreme than anywhere else in the world! thats why i love it so much! ahhh why is it soooo hard to get a green card
i hate the fact that we are America's "sister country" yet we are one of the few that arn't even eligible for the green card lottery
Me too! Read somewhere that they have to let UK into the lottery once after a 5 year period of not being in it, and I think its up next year. Now I'm not sure if this information is correct or not. I'm sort of hoping it is.
