If my boss checks our internet records i am actually going to get sacked!! im on this site all day!! haha xgemx
lol awww, well i work for my dad, so even though he does get annoyed at me for coming on some times. its ok hehe
luckily i work in recruitment so i could come up with a little fib but.... i dont think it would fly!!! haha xgemx
There are times when I'm glad I don't have internet access at work. Takes my mind off it for a while. Or something. lol
hey, i'm new, i'm applying this August aswell I work at McDonalds so even if they had an idea I was looking at this they wouldn't care because they're used to a high turnover. where does everyone work?
Hey Mallory welcome to the gang lol well atm i work for my dad as a mechanic where abouts are you from ?
Hey Mallory, welcome to the mad house! I'm Tori and I currently working in a call center bossing engineers around all day This your first application?
Stuart Stark....is that you?? It's Niamh!! My cover letter was quite long, about 3 quarters of the page, but i'm tempted to add to it!! My motivation bit was really long as well, i just went on and on and on...i'm very motivated!!
Cover letter for any job doesn't have to be that long. If your CV doesn't sell you enough anyway then I'd be a little worried (for general job application... not just for this one). My cover letter was 2 or 3 short paragraphs, as was my motivation thingie. You don't want to bore the interviewer before you've even met them, do you?! Anyway, hi Mallz! As tori said, welcome to the mad house I'm currently a waitress in Zizzi. One of the newer branches, in Bristol.
Where did everyone attach their cover letter? I kinda just wrote a cover letter within my motivations!! That was about a page though. I emailed Kristen asking if she wanted a seperate one though... I'm working in a Hotel at the min, was resturant supervisor now reception but mix between the two sometimes! xoxox
I know quite a few people put an extra page on with their CV. It's what I did; Cover letter, page break, CV. All in one file. Must be nice to have a bit of a mix in your job. I kinda get a mix in that I sometimes work on the bar instead of waiting on the floor. Tips are worse when I do though. But hey.
I never wrote one as I kinda assumed that the information we put in our profile thingie was like a cover letter:S Thinking of doing it now ... What kinda things did people write?
Just contacted Yummy jobs and I can't apply until I start Uni. on 13th September According to them that is a perfect time to apply, I hope it is and that I am not too late.
I think you might be talking about the ICP. This is the thread for the CRP. The ICP is a summer internship at WDW, you have to be at uni to go on it. The CRP is a cultural representative program, you go out for 12 months, and there's no need to be at uni or college or anything like that.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm happy with what I had though, it was quite long. I don't think having a cover letter would make much of a difference to me (I hope). I wrote in my motivation why I wanted to work for disney, why I wanted to take a year out, why I wanted to work in customer service, why I wanted to represent British culture, and why I thought I'd be good for the job. Did anyone's cover letters include anything more? BTW Hi Mallory, sorry I ignored you before. I was sent into a mino kniption by all the cover letter talk. I'm Katy, and I'm working as a waitress in a hotel in Norwich. Edit: Also go b/w photo crew!
Gary: I'm from Newcastle Tori: Yeah, my first application *fingers crossed* Katy: I wrote hardly anything in my motivation but then I sent Yummy an e-mail with a proper cover letter so i'm hoping that'll be ok :/
