Yep you can great deals....and there are so many cool, different places to see. Now that I lived in Fort Lauderdale I got to do it all over again. I went on a final trip to L.A./San Fran/Calgary and NYC and it was so cheap and so fun! Julia
All about San Fran and then up to Vegas, thats what i'm gonna be doing for my final trip, Miamis nice but its pretty similar to LA,lol
Well you can always do Miami when you are in Orlando. Just stop there on the way to Key West, it's a nice trip. I wanted to do the Cali thing for my final trip after the Disney contract but some terrorists decided to hijack some planes. I will never forget how scared I was to even go back and work at Disney every day. Julia
I travelled on the 1 year anniversary of 9/11, flying into NYC from London Gatwick and it was pretty freaky but the airport security still is pretty tight now, i got searched 3 times coming into the country, annoying but good to see their doing the right thing, do you need ID or anything to book a internal flight or greyhound bus that you know of? Key West is beautiful, went there with family a few years back, loved it, and the hotels are 2nd to none, some of our uni lot are out there atm
You need your ID to get around in the States ( if you get your Florida drivers license, that will be enough...you can also get a Florida State ID ). I don't remember if I needed my driver's license for the Greyhound it's so long ago. Just carry your State ID or driver's license and you will be fine....And yeah I know t's scary....still now when I went it felt weird. I was in NYC two days before it happened and I was in Boston on the 10th. My friend and I were torn between going back to NYC to check out some more stuff or drive up to Toronto...good thing we decided to go to Canada in the end....even witnessing the events must have been horrible! Julia
Its certainly a moving sight, i cried solidly for 20 minutes at Ground Zero, its so emotional, but i'd recommend people going to see it for the experience, i don't mean it in a good way, but its certainly moving and makes you feel so grateful for the life you've got. On an offnote, Vegas is always a good place if your into your partying, The Pussycat Doll lounge in Caeser's Palace has to be checked out
Yeah I have never been to Vegas because I am not into the gambling stuff...it bores me! Then again it must be great for partying... Julia
I didn't gamble that much, $50 or so i think, its more going for the shows, the beautiful hotels etc, its gotta be seen to be believed, its an unbelievable place, my fave place in the world, even ahead of Disney, lol
Yeah i've done it once or twice, its not hugely different from London i've found, maybe a bit less diverse, but Times Square always does it for me, its amazing
Oh I love it, I don't think it's that similar to London at all either... They both have their own special things about them, and I love them both for different reasons. I'll never forget being on Times Square at night either, just one of the most electric and amazing atmospheres I've experienced. I'd love to go and see one of the huge shows on Broadway too (we went to 'Fiddler on the Roof which was SO good, but the theatre was really weird with escalators and bag searches which kind of took away from the whole experience for me... Still cool to actually get one of the yellow playbills though But yeah, I want to go to one of the ORIGINAL theatres... Yes, yes I am a theatre nut!)... Anyway... yeah... definitely one of my favourite cities in the world.
Yeah i remember coming out of the Olive Garden there at about 2am and thinking it was daytime because of the insane amount of lights, its crazy but i loved it to bits! I work for Toys R Us back here in the UK, so seing the flagship store there is always cool, it rocks
Haha, you been to the TRU in Times Square? It has a freakin big wheel so you can change floors in style! Man, its crazy, like every kids and adults dream, lol
OMG! That's AMAZING! Maybe it does beat FAO Schwatz then... You know, I think I may have seen it because the big wheel sounds familiar... I want to go back just to go there now!
Glad to see so many people love it as much as I do I saw "Riverdance" a long time ago and wanted to see "Les Mis" this time, but unfortunately I couldn't make it because I had to meet up with a friend that night...but there is always another time It's a shame "Aida" is not playing there anymore....my Disney roomie made me addicted to it because she always played the CD. Julia
Yeah the broadway shows would be something else, i've heard rumours the Beatle's Love one is gonna be doing broadway next Xmas, its here in London this coming summer so can't wait to see if i can get tickets, we were in Vegas when it opened there last summer
That's somewhere I really want to visit... Just for a few nights, but I just want to see it! I'll wait till I'm 21 though, I think, just so I can lose all my money And YAY! Fellow musical geeks That One Love musical sounds cool, any links to more info??
