well, it's just for one day. After that you would wear your costume inside disney, and what you wear on your own time is up to you. Given the choice I hate tights too, so it looks like trousers for that day.

We have to wear tights with the costumes though (I think!) so looks like we're all going to be wearing them a lot whatever!

Boys can just wear a smart shirt and trousers....no real need for a whole suit!!

As for tights.....if you're going to wear a skirt you will need to wear tights for all the days you're wearing formal clothes...so that would be Traditions, Discovery Day, and Merhchantainment/Food whajimicallit!

When you're at work you have to wear something in the way of tights but can wear knee high/stockings/tights/ankle socks (if like me your skirt touches the floor practically!!)....so sorry...there's no getting out of it!!

Wearing tights really isn't that bad....I wear them all the time for work and don't get any more hot in them than if I just wore knee highs. In fact, knee highs/stockings are sometimes worse cos they can cut off the circulation in your legs...and when you're standing up doing a 10 hour shift it's the last thing you want!!!

I just thought of something.....apart from what I said about Traditions etc, I'm really only talking about the UK costume.....other costumes have their own things about socks......

So, sorry if this is no help to any non-UK people!!

When you say we have to wear tights, do you mean the black ones we get here or just the think fleshtone ones? because they wouldn't be so bad I reckon.

If it helps, the little booklet that we got in our welcome packs is really specific about costume and clothing etc. Even down to underwear...no kidding! It explains everything, about tights, tattoos, piercings, knickers, hair, make-up for every specific job role. It's scarily precise! lol

    Hey everyone....

Done the program in 2000 and I have to say, tights are okay. They are not really too hot, even if you work outside at a food stand. In "Germany" they use the tights that have your skin color.

You can get the tights really cheap at Wallmart, so dont worry about bringing a big stock of it. Also I would reccommand DR SCHOLL shoes from Wallmart. The whole German Pavillion was wearing them. They are 20$ but really really comfy and good to work a 10hour shift in.

    Have a wonderful weekend

Hi, when I was there last the guys all wore trousers and a shirt and the girls wore a skirt and blouse. Its not more formal than that. You do traditions which is n eight our day in an a/c class room and there is a day when you walk around your work location.

hey there i'm fernando, and i worked at the mexican pavilion march 04-05 en merch. and as a suggest,
Once you get there, i recomend to you seriusly to visit walmart (with the buss in your complex) and go o the shoes section, there is a shoes area for those who are standing long hours a day. right almost there, is the Dr. Scholls shoes as well. shoes are nt that expensive and they're black as the guidbook request to wear at work.
    later guys
Have a magical day in the happiest place on earth
