    WHAT!!! They don't have Poutines??? What kind of crap is this...

    Yeah Jei, I'd noticed! hehehe I miss "talking Disney" with you and Tessa though. I think the other baristas were sick of hearing about it!

    And as for poutine, you can make it (well, sort of...) in your oven: McCain SuperFries, Bisto gravy and whatever cheese you've got on hand. International roommates will think you're insane but Canadians will love it.

    I am going to have SOOOO much poutine before I leave Québec that I won't want it again until I come back... Problem Solved!

    Yep I am making Poutines in the Oven :) Thanks for the recipe. Any other Canadians want to share? We can make the world's largest Poutine :D

    Honestly????

    Poutine is french fries and cheese curds with gravy poured over top!! Trust me, SOUNDS GROSS but it's GREAT GREAT GREAT!! ;D ;D

    Poutine is great!

    Except I had some poutine at the "La Ronde" amusement park in Montreal and it was nasty!

    New York fries makes pretty good poutine though

    It Byward Market in Ottawa is the 24hr Diner call Zak's. Best Poutein ever!
    Best everything ever, actually. It's soo much fun there, I miss it...

    TOTALLY agree with you about the poutine in OTTAWA! Good God I haven't been there in SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long and yet I remember that poutine like I JUST got it!!

    WOW........gots to get me some of that stuff now!!

    Mouth.....watering...........eyes rolling back in the head........salivating........

    i'm sure its some form of irish soup or stew.....but no chi...french fries...potatoes tho.... but yours sounds....well it sounds like drunk food...something you cook up or buy after a night out kinda thing....will definatly have to try some....cheese curd????

    Hahaha that's my life!

    Maybe the Montreal group should try and track down some poutine while waiting for on flight on the 20th? Given, in Montreal even the McDonalds serves poutine.

    I wonder if they will let me on the plane with poutine? Or for that matter how well it will hold in the suitcase under the plane.

    When I went to Ottawa last my parents filled my suitecase FULL of bagged smoked salmon, cheese and ice packs (for my brother). It wasnt messy and travelled really well but now the suitcase STINKS like fish and cheese! :mad:
