I was just listening to radio 1 and people were texting in saying its all been blown out of proportion and that "No-one has died in the UK so why should we care?" Just shows how selfish the world has become
That is so insensitive of people - they won't be saying that if it spreads in the UK! And good ol' Arnie has declared a state of emergency in California - made me laugh, as I got an image of doctors patrolling the street with rifles, to threaten/shoot suspected sufferers! And instead of white coats, they wore black (like Ninjas...) - I was very tired yesterday! But not the most encouraging reception when I arrived at Edinburgh Waverly, to see the Scotsman boards declaring 'cases of swine flu in Glasgow' - or something like that! And talking of Edinburgh - stupid National Express did something odd with their timetable, so I arrived 32 minutes early into York, with no-one to pick me up as they were on their way, and as it was quarter to twelve - the station was practically deserted! Grrr! Hope the people with flu get better tho - feel a little sorry for all the cancelled holidays. Also, hope it doesn't affect people going for the ICP - especially Mexicans! xx
and why should we care? i'm kidding of course, that's about as insensitive as the question "does swine flu only affect men?" is stupid!!! people these days i just read that a toddler has died from it now...i know any death is bad, but it seems sadder when it's only a little kid
Ya the kid died in Texas I think. He was from Mexico. I think there is a women in B.C. Canada that has it and she is 5 month pregnant. :-[
