seems like Audacity is the best program I've found so far. I'm downloading it now and I'll check it out.
well we need a plan on how we want this to work? Structure How many hosts? Same host/s every week? how often sent out? (weekly, every 14days) length? Pieces Host outlines the pieces to go? (for example the host could say in the forum what kind of piece they were looking for and Members could volunteer) Members make their own pieces and hosts can pick out ones for the podcast? Music What kind of music? (just Disney or more?) can people make requests? lots to think about people
Hosts - I think it would help to have a regular host/hosts... people who maybe do the same segment each week so there's some kind of continuity. Frequency - maybe try it every 14 days for now? If we find that we have too much information for one show every 14 days, we can always make it weekly! Length - as long as it needs to be! I imagine it would be quite short to begin with, but as we get into it, each show will get longer. Pieces - as mentioned before, there should be regular segments that are done every week. Maybe if say, there's something special happening at the time (say sign up time for the Candlelight Processional, interviews coming up, people going out to FL, MNSSHP/MVMCP/P&PP) we could do special segments on them. Also... people could send in their own segments, and they can be used when needed. Music - I think just Disney music would be good...especially stuff you don't often get to hear, like park loops and rare music, music that goes with a theme (say Christmas and Halloween). I also think requests are good... they do it on ITM. I think we'd have to limit requests to songs that are hard to find, otherwise we may end up having the same songs every week. Plus, like ITM, I think we need to have a song to use at the end to play out the show! Obviously not 'A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow'. Something that reflects WDWIP and all our dreams! Say something like 'Just Like We're Dreaming' from DLRP or 'There's No Place Like World Showcase' LOL (just kidding ) I hope that helps somewhat!
"Inside The Magic" it's a Disney podcast... you can find it here http://www.distantcreations.com/insidethemagic/
This sounds great! I'd love to be involved, and am willing to help! Maybe you can have country representatives for little news bites. That way you get the continuity mentioned above, having a regular presenter for that one country, so if something's going on in the Norwegian pavilion you go to that presenter etc. They can also be responsible then for letting people know when the next round of interviews are up and where to send CV's etc. Then we could have on-site presenters... giving any news if it happens in that two weeks, and if not just a regular 'what's going on?' hmm, there's loads of stuff that you can do! It's very exciting!
Well I volunteer myself as a host. I also volunteer myself to do the top 10 segment on rides. I'm pretty into a whole lot of these programs and working on things like this so I'm sure I can figure out how to use everything even if I don't already know how. That "how to make a podcast" website it very helpful so I'd say we should keep with the basic layout. We almost need to get in a chat together so we can figure everything out fully. I'm going to start a thread with a large poll so we can get votes on the top 10 rides. I'll comprise the list with what I consider to be ones people should choose/would be popular. I'll start this tonight.
There are some other podcast out there that feature tons of info on rides, shows etc...so i say the podcast should focus on the CM stories, CM ways of experiencing disney, the day to day living and of course the application process¡ Plus it should be a great way to keep in touch ...i would love to participate and i am mexican so that would add up to the international mix.
Our main focus will be on that! We can talk about our experiences ETC. I still would like to include things abuot the parks to make them interesting!
yeah a podcast by the CM is what we want, we also want to help applicants get into disney, we also want to ave stories, share cultural knowledge and basic CP and ICP life.. tracey how do you mean basic layout?
