    Three questions...
    1. What if you were in merchandise? Is it possible to pick up shifts at other stores around the parks (obviously not in countries, but say, the one by Test Track)?
    2. I remember people mentioning that on the ICP they had opportunities to work OT at all of the different parks. Is there any way for people on the CRP to do this?
    3. We can pick up OT shifts for random things (ie: wristband distribution and the American Gardens Theatre) while at EPCOT, right?

angeljenn3 - if you are working on the Cultural Rep Program in the Canada Pavilion you will only be able to work in the Canada Pavilion - in the position you were hired for - your working visa restricts you to that. Even if you work in merchandise you will only be able to work in Canada Merch, unless for some reason you have to transfer to another position within the Canadian pavilion, which requires a lot of paper work. The wristband distribution for extra magic hours is scheduled in regular hours to people in the Canada Pavilion - it is not something extra for people to pick up. If you are working merch you will be assigned it on your work schedule. I have seen the people working the Attraction in Canada doing crowd control during Off Kilter performances and Illuminations around the pavilion but this is also part of their scheduled positions.I don't know how they work it in other Countries. I am not sure what happens at the American Gardens Theatre but I know that you can't get paid for anything other than what you were hired for because of the type of visa you will be working on.
You are on a different visa when you work the ICP and the restrictions are different. My son worked at WDW before he went down for the CRP, it was a 6 month summer program and he was hired for Out Door Foods in Epcot -after a month they found out there was some kind of loophole in their visas and they actually qualified to work an attraction as well - he was lucky enough to be able to actually transfer to an attraction on the same visa but he had to stay at the same park - he worked at Mission Space but he could have taken training to work another attraction like Space Ship Earth etc., he also could have picked up extra shifts back on outdoor foods in the same park (Epcot) on that particular visa if he wanted or needed to since he was initially trained there. It was easy for him to pick up extra shifts at Mission Space and he didn't need to go elsewhere. He had to work at Epcot though (but not in any Pavilion) and could not work at any other park.
I hope I didn't confuse you more, each visa has different restrictions - some let you work in different parks, some do not but if you are hired to work the CRP in a Pavilion then I'm pretty sure that is the only job you can work and get paid for.

yes, that's right! When you're on CRP you can only be paid for working in your pavilion and you have to wear your county's costume!
