well thanks for that, i would love to work for attractions or entertainment as a character or character attendant. But if i didnt get them then i would go for merchandise, i wouldnt mind tht. i would go for QSF&B if it meant i definetly get to go. Oh well thats good to know, just being there is enough for me, im not bothered about the pay, its just an addon to the experience. I would hate to be stuck at the car park if i picked attractions. Thank you!
From what I can make out, Operations - which was a combination of Parking, Park Greeter, and Attractions has now been split into two roles - Attractions and Main Entrance Operations. So, and this might not be 100% correct, I think you get your pick of the two! That said, I believe Main Street Attractions (trains, main st. vehicles, main street parade control) do still also do park greeter for the MK. They don't do parking though, obviously. KC
i take back what i said, im wouldnt not be a custodial, id just prefer to work in entertainment or operations personally. I think applications can be handed in in August but im not sure, ive been told by yummyjobs August so im sure its then.
Just wondering if anyone has an estimate/general ratio regarding the number of applicants who get accepted vs. those who don't.
I know that for Summer ICP there are more chances to be accepted because you are going just for a few months.. for CRP there are also big chances, if not, you can be added to a waiting list and any time you can be called. But there is also the chance of the big NO, but it is not very common. I´m not really sure about this information but it is what I have read on other applicants and accepted forums.. I want to apply to Summer ICP 09.. Good Luck!
im wanting to apply to after getting some information sorted out. does anyone know what they are looking for on the resume? is it a normal CV?
It's a pretty much standard CV yeah. If you have customer service experience, that'll probably help, but it's by no means required-I had none going into my interview. The CV should do what all CVs should-make them want to meet you... However you get that across is up to you!
Thank God! All my headshots are of my bad side, not that i have a good side, lmao. Do any of use know, do u have to land in at Orlando International Airport or can u land at Sanford?
I got back from my third visit to Florida on Sunday and loved every second of it (although we only did one day in Disney out of 14 this year ). I am going to apply for the Summer 09 ICP - it'll be my first time applying, so I'm kinda going in blind on this one, although I do have customer service experience to pad my CV out with, and I have done voluntary work in the US before. It's just the covering letter I always struggle with writing. Erm, as for the airport, I think that they pick you up on arrival, and so they are likely to want you to fly to the nearest airport (i.e. Orlando International), but I don't know for definite. I have had the pleasure of using three different airports in Florida and I'd personally rate OIA as the best by far.
Thanks, i thought it was orlando, its just hard to find a flight from scotland to orlando international, only virgin do it one way but it is only on certain days and times.
I live only an hour's drive from London Gatwick, so I have no problems with that. Virgin are great for flights - we went with them this year. I'm just worried about not getting into Uni now, and if I do, not getting through the interview for the Summer 09 ICP.
