If you have anyone of those "travel sized" toothpaste to bring (either from previous travel trip or flights), it'll work perfectly.

As well, look around for little sample shampoos some mall or shops may have for promotion. I got a few Herbal Essence, hahaha, and some Axe showergel. The Axe stuff smells gross!

That makes sense, better idea than bringing like a 1L bottle of shampoo to last the summer. :) I think I shouldn't be too bad with luggage room though... hopefully :)

The Walmart there is SO much cheaper than in Canada. On my first day there last year I arrived really early, about 11 or so, so when I got to Chatham they told me I had the day to myself because some people were arriving super late. They had given me a temporary bus pass, but for some reason I couldn't figure it out so I took a cab to Walmart to get food and bedding. It was only $20 and worth not having anything for the first few days, and I was back before any of my roomies moved in. :D

But if you are a girl, be careful... I got this really creepy cab driver that kept showing up at chatham and calling me (the first time he snuck past security and my roommates gave him my number cuz they assumed I knew him) until I had to get the security guards to tell him to leave me alone. SOO creepy

You should get a disclosure through much quicker than that; in the 'dark days' a few years ago disclosures were taking a long time to come through, but most seem to come within, at most, six weeks now. I think you probably should chase it with Yummy or with the CRB itself.

about traveling.. i travelled across the states via greyhoun...was very cheap and as long as you can live off uncomfy sleep you can travel at night and save money on motels...i usually spent alternate nights in motels...sometimes very third or fourth depending on how skanky/gross i was feeling...lol. it isn't first class but it is loads of fun!!!

    Tips about flights

    Hello future colleagues:

Hi, my name is George and I'm from Mexico. I'll be arriving to Orlando on September the 12th. I've seen some of the posts that you have written here. I give you some tips about luggage, flights and routes. Hope this will help somebody.

    - About how much luggage can take with you.... It depends much in which airline you flight, in which class you booked your seat and even from which country you depart. When I traveled from Europe in transatlantic flights I had registered 2 medium size suitcases, even 2 big, but with not too much weight. You can carry on a small suitcase or a backpack with you upstairs. That works for coach class. For Business and First you can add an extra suitcase. There are also som tips for getting extra luggage:

    - In Skyteam flights (Delta, Aeromexico, Alitalia, KLM-Airfrance, Continental and NWA) you have the chance sometimes to add an extra piece of luggage if you are a flequent-flyer member of the airline. Gold and Platinum levels get extra luggage permission for sure.

-In certain Airlines such as BA, Aeromexico, Delta, or KLM-Airfrance you can take with u an extra luggage if you hold an American Express Platinum card or if you payed the tickets with it. (Also you get free access to VIP lounge)

-For American Airlines, BA and US Airways, policies are more strict, they limit you to 2 suitcases of medium size in coach and 3 in Business/First. Sometimes when the flight is not full they allow more luggage, specialy in transcontinental flights. For Domestic flights it's limited to one piece and one carry on (when you don't have an international connection).

-Some airlines allow you to carry extra baggage or upgrade the class of your seat (which means more baggage) by redeeming miles/points from your frequent flyer account.

-For getting cheaper fares to the US, it's better to book them on Internet (if the WDW cast allow in your country to buy by yourself the air ticket). Direct flights from Europe to Orlando are few and normaly are expensive. You better book a flight with one connection (eg. in Atlanta or NY(for Delta and Airfrance-KLM), in Houston(Continental), Dallas(American and BA), Mexico City (Airfrance and Aeromexico) or Washington (US Airways) )
your connection at least might have 2 1/2 hours for reducing the risk of loosing your flight to Orlando. In the main ticket offices of the airlines sometimes you get good rates too.

    - For European flights maybe you have to book a roundtrip ticket for getting a cheaper fare. You can use only one segment and loose the other, but most of the times it's even cheaper than getting a single one.

-Expect to pay at least US$700 for your flight (European outbounds) the average is US$900 but sometimes you gan get lucky fares from US$500. Flights from the UK and Ireland are cheaper that from other european cities because of the distance and high demand of the routes.

-For In-America Flights (Mexico, Canada or Caribbean to the US) expect to pay US$450 at least. Cheaper flights can be booked even in single-way.

-Traveling inside the US by air is cheap when you book in advance or in the other hand sometimes the airlines publish last-minute fares. There are also low cost airlines like Jetblue, Southwest, etc that offer good cheap flights inside the US.

Hope this helps somebody. You can write me or add my msn for chat if you want jorchm@hotmail.com we can talk either in English, Spanish or French. Cheers to everybody and see u in Orlando.

from the UK a good airline is travel city direct - the flights are between £350-550 each and you have the option of doubling your luggage allowance - so you can take on 40kilos for an extra £15. webbie is www.travelcitydirect.com i think they fly to sanford rather than mco.

monarch allow 20kilos and no extension on that if im remembering right but they are incredsibly uncomfortable and disorganised to fly with - and they cost around £500

    Hope thats helpful :)
