Sooooo......... DID YOU GET THE EMAIL?!?!?!?!?!

  1. I only know of one person who didn't get through the F2F's as he was at our F2F's last year. I don't know if he got through again and as far as I know the majority of people at mine got through. If Yummy think you are good enough Disney usually agree. A lot of the time during the interview they are trying to determine which role is the best for you which is why it is important to say what role you want and if there is a specific park or location that you would like to work in.

Did you say in the interview which role you wanted and where you would prefer to work? I would feel like im being quite rude if i did, but i dont know!

i didnt say either of those things, i didnt want to sound too pushy but its always the case of whether its relevant to the conversation because none of the guys in my interview were actually asked where or what we wanted to do. if you get the chance to say where etc do, but i wouldnt be like RIGHT I WANT THIS, but i guess thats pretty obvious!

Yea, i dont think i would be pushy and just say what i want. I will need to actually think what i want the most, it is character performer and that means i could go anywhere which would be perfect, i want that. But its how to assure them i would be great for character performer!

i would try and slip it in there. when bringing up past experience with my degree etc. see what happens from there. i have now watched alien (actually watched spaceballs today..so funny) so i am slowly working my way through the great movie ride. next is wizard of oz and casablanca.

Usually they will ask you about your choices, thats the best time to highlight your experiences, the other way is that they will ask if you have considered the role. Because you might fit into the height range.

If you put it on your list you will get asked about it come across very gesteric, dont sit on your hands, Mickey has a busy schedule that he doesnt talk much so he makes gestures.

I guess you just have to be more animated - think what you would look for if you were that Disney interviewer.

I'm seriously contemplating putting bell-services as my number 1 so i'm trying to get some work experience in a hotel to show how much i really want it (and also to make sure that's what I want to do!)

hehe, i work in a shop but that does not necessarily mean i want to desperately work in merchandise, it is my number 2 choice just basically because i wanted to that rather than the other one apart from character performer and attractions if it comes up.

i talk with my hands anyway so that will be a bonus lol.

everytime you say bell hop i think of the tower of terror outfits.

i watched a disney documentary, "Modern Marvels" on Discovery Channel, thanks to my wonderful boyfriend who got it for me. it was awesome. the tunnels werent what i expected them to be at all. they told you about the monorail and how they created the tree of life and epcot geosphere..as well as cinderella's castle. it was great to watch.

  13. oo that sounds really interesting

I really want to be on the rides, the great movie ride especially or tower of terror. But Theres loads of roles I want to.

My brother is out there at the moment working for disney for 6 months, I'll ask him how the interviews went for him and let you all know his tips for the interviews and what people who want to be characters did in their interviews if that helps?

    xx

yeah - casablanca is brilliant, i didn't think I would like it, but it is really good! you get this weird tingle when you hear them say all those lines that the film is famous for!

yeah, i think I'll try and mention why i want to do attractions (if the option comes up!) but what would you say about why you wanted to do main entrance ops? tho i'd love to do attractions, i wouldn't really want to do great movie ride, tower of terror, haunted mansion or jungle cruise (i don't like talking in front of people!)
i suppose 2 weeks is a reasonable amount of time, but still want to know a rough time!
    hopefully tomorrow.....

none of the interviews are close to me so it'll cost me a fortune to get anywhere if i only have 2 weeks notice. I guess I'll just have to deal with it!

That's the way i think about it, knowing that i have been passed onto the next level of getting into disney for the summer. I will do my best to get to the interview no matter how much hastle it may cause! I'm just so excited.
