Really, i didnt know that. I dont know if i would want to do that. The more i think about i feel i would do quite well in main entrance ops and i would enjoy it.

 

I would've done full service f&b but it isn't tipped so i'm not putting it - it's just going to be seating and booking tables. I love the idea of being park greeter so main entrance ops is pretty high on my list. argh I don't know!!

 

Park Greeter just sounds amazing, i would love it. Its so hard to make a final decision and what to put, but character performer will be my number one choice.

 

Right now main entrance ops is mine but I have a long time to make my mind up!

What is the appeal of custodial roles, i know theres something because everyone thats done it raves about it?

 

it can be, but it can also be fun, you get a nice close group you see often and you learn an area of the park like the back of you hand, true this can happen in main gate, but youll be stood there all day, custodial you wander you meet people who are in the park, i can see myself disliking having guests walk by me on their way into the park, i think there would be little contact compared to custodial.

 

Good point, is merchandise a popular role to take?

 

every role has its goods and bads, many people like merch its well paid, good hours sometimes and again a nice close group of friends.

 

I do want to do merchandise, my ideal workplace would be the Emproium at MK, but MK in general. Obviously as long as i am at Disney i wont care.

 

lol yeah anywhere can be fun, i was annoyed when i got animal kingdom first time but its less hetic than mk

 

I think it is the hectic environment that is making the park appealing, also the fact it is my favourite place in the whole world.

 

Well - I'm not too bothered if I'm in a park or a resort hotel, but if I was in a park I think I'd like to be in EPCOT, or MK
but as long as I'm there, I wouldn't mind!
I'm currently thinking of 1) Main Entrance Ops 2) Full Service F&B 3) Merch 4) Costuming 5) QS F&B
But this will prob change in a day or two!
Main Entrance Ops tho would be really different (imagine telling everyone you were going to do that for a summer!)

Just want to know what's happening tho!

ive emailed her about the whole profile thing to see what she says. i will post on here what she emails back.

i am absolutely gutted the roles i wanted arent on there but im not losing hope, it looks like a standard email so maybe it was sent to the people who are doing january...i will wait til the face to face to decide. the main thin i would do is merch and character.

 

Ye thats the same as me, i dont think i would put down as many roles to go for, but thats just me.
I want to know if it really is necessary to do the profile thing cos it is annoying me and confusing me and mucking everything up, i feel like it is going to jeopardise my interview.

 

Wow, the profile thing sounds really confusing! I'm kinda glad it didn't say anything about doing that in my e-mail. Hopefully you guys get it all sorted out!
