I'm needing to remind myself to breathe when I open my email inbox... Dunno what I'll be like when I see an email from yummy jobs!!!!
Think I'll be terrified to open it... And when I do it'll be in the IT suite at uni... could be embarrassing... whatever the outcome... lol. :D

I put down Merchandise, then QS F&B, though kind of wishing I'd put operations there. Hopefully if I get in it would be for merchandise though, seeing as they said there and F&B is where most people end up anyway... What abouts you?

I checked off Operations, then Merch, and then Foods, but I made a note to tell them I really didn't have much of a preference - I could do them all! Operations is a limited role in the Canada Pavillion apparantly, but I liked the fact it was more of a touristy talk-to-the-people kind of deal.

I don't suppose they'd get back to a person on a Sunday, would they? Hmmm almost two weeks now!

I'm so used to doing merch in my day(ish) job so I put down f&b as first choice. In the interview I said that if I get in I'll be experiencing so many cool new things that I'd like to productive and learn a completely new skill area as well. To make the most of it all! But I said I'd happily do merch as well though since I'm easily comfortable on a shop floor too.

during my interview she looked at my cv and said - so i see you have a lot of experience in retail - where would you like to work? and i said i had no preference, although on the aplplication form i think i put f&b first and then merch just ebcause ive heard they need more people for F&B. to be honest i dont care where i work so long as im there lol.

i put operations, then character assistant, then merch, then custodial. tried to avoid f&b as i used to work at subway and dont fancy that kind of thing again, but to be honest im happy whereever i work!

I put F & B as my first choice and Merch as my second. Id prefer F & B - this is what i have most experience in and from what ive heard the tips are pretty good, but i would be quite happy with anything!!!
I wonder if we will hear any thing from them this week ...... fingers crossed!!!

Character assistant! Hm, very cool! Which pavillion would you be representing? I wonder what sorts of characters hang around Epcot...

I'm a major character fanatic! I can't wait to go character hunting and maybe at some point get to be one ^_^

Aren't the characters specific for the country? So like bear characters for Canada, Alice in Wonderland in Britain, Mulan for China, etc, etc? That's what it seems to be like in people's pictures anyways...

i think people are getting mixed up between the year long program and the summer/seasonal programs. If you are on the year long program working in world showcase at epcot then you can only chose Merch, F&B and if your country's pavillion has one then Attrations. Also you can't pick up any extra time anywhere else other than your countries pavillion because the special visa states that you must be represtenting your country, ie, only working at your pavillion.

yeah,i get ya,i applied to go over for the year long program!!! i think there are some of us here that applied for that and also others who have applied to do the seasonal/summer programs - i guess we are all just talking over each other a bit!!!!!! must have something to do with the exitment/anticipation of waiting to hear whos got in!!!!!! ;D
