Aww, that's so sweet. Dad said the other day that he gave my sister some money when she went out to Texas last month and he will do the same for me so I'm very happy and relieved. I wasn't expecting it and told him he didn't have to (he gave me £360 and $500 for my birthday in may) but he'd insisted so it would be fair.

If you got a gateway insurance plan (I think you said you had) you will NOT get the paperwork, it will go straight to disney. Just print off the confirmation email and take that with you just incase it hasn't reached them for some reason so that you have proof of insurance.

@Emma - woo visa tomorrow for me! is urs tuesday? I've just been going thru all my stuff I need to take. There's a bit in the info from the embassy that says you have to have something with you to prove your intent to return to the uk. I am taking a bank statement, credit card statement, some share certificates i have and my bank book (thought I would take a few things to make sure one of them is ok proof!) Have u all seen that bit about the proof thing?? cos I don't think they make it too obvious!

Can't believe it's 16 days! the amount of stuff I gotta do!

Oh and emma, I shall look out for you in the airport in ur mickey t shirt! I might go for yellow t shirt and my yellow trainers so I stand out! lol

no worries about those documents!! Cos they dont need it but bring them along with you if you can, uknow, just in case they ask for it! BUT since we're going to obtain the Q-1 visa, REMEMBER to bring the visa document that Disney sent ya which included in the package!! thats the proof you'll be returning to your home country after the program!!! and of cos, YOUR PASSPORT! ;D

they'll just simply ask you couple of Qns, making sure you know what youre goin to do in that year etc!
    dont worry too much!

Good Luck y'all in the visa interview!!!
    WOHOOO... 15days!! :D ;D :D cannot wait!!

I shake my fist at you sir! <shakes fist at halifax boy>

no, it's okay. I'll just take everything with me. My sister went for her interview a few weeks ago and took all this stuff they told her and they didn't check any of it! so I should be okay I think. It's pretty obvious to look at me I'm not a figitive (or at least, i hope it is).

A bit new to this whole forum biz, why didn't I discover it sooner? Anyone else as stupidly excited as me? Or is that a daft question?!

Uhhhhhhhhh, HAAAAAATE packing.  My room is currently destroyed as I'm packing to go back to Canada tomorrow night!  Instead of packing I got distracted and did my taxes, which I actually find more exciting than packing.  Lesson learned: I've paid a lot in taxes and managed to obtain four national insurance numbers.  Life should be fun come tax season.

I am SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SOOOOOOOOOO glad to be done of work.  OH MY GOD.  I was out of the office by 5.03 and at the pub by 5.05!

@ craig - maybe they gave you a candle for when the power gets knocked out during hurricaine season  :p

@ Amelia - At times I get sooo excited and then start to worry for a few minutes and then get excited again!  I think I'll start to panick by Sept 1st though, I haven't looked at any insurance stuff yet and have been running around like a knob trying to figure out what to do with my British bank account and how to get money home, in what currency, blah blah blah.  Now you have to entertain us and tell you where you're from and how old you are.  And how you take your eggs in the morning so you can be including in Craig's breakfasts ;)

@ Emma - I know shit all about the UK school system, but from what I've pieced together those are awesome results!  Congratulations!

@ Chavser - I'll bring Cadbury chocolate!  (Provided I don't scarf it all down on the plane...)  I plan on bribing people to get be my friends... one square of chocolate at a time ;)

Holy crikey insane.... (The timeline, not you :) )

    Hey jen!
Really glad to see you've not done any insurance stuff yet. Thought i was the only one that was unorganised! got into a MEGA panic last nite coz i totally forgot all about it! Oops....

not started packin yet tho, i'm a 'night before' sort of gal! I work well under pressure...thats a good thing for this job right?!

Anyhoo, I'm 23 from a little town called Leigh nr Wigan. Ooh i can hear the boos and hisses from here!! Jus graduated from University of Central Lancashire in Preston. No photo tho cos i'm rubbish a that sort of thing.

As for my eggs, fried with runny yolk!! I make a mean fried egg sandwhich, so craig got some competition for breakfast chef!

Might not make it there yet if i don't my ass into gear about this insurance! x
