@ Craig - yup, I'm heading home for a wee bit before heading to Florida. I am sooo excited!! I leave Edinburgh Aug 23rd, spend the night in the GLORIOUS Glasgow Airport (last time I'll have to sleep in an airport for awhile!) and get home on the 24th. Then I'm heading to Ottawa (the capital of Canada) to visit some people for a day before heading south. I figure if Disney will pay me back the price of my plane ticket down when it comes time to fly home might as well make it a pricey one

@Jess - I was semi sort of in Hamburg once... the train station! I had to change trains when I was going from Belgium to Copenhagen. I liked the train station because it was my last chance to get rid of my euros so I bought a hot dog, slice of pizza, chocolate and other life essentials. And it's good to know the stars-and-strips-coat girl didn't disapear

So are we all quitting our jobs the same day? My last day is Friday, August 19th. So excited!!!

only 5 weeks and one day to go!! Woooo! i cant wait Happy Belated Birthday lizzie. My birthday is on Friday
next year we'll be celebrating our birthdays in sunny Orlando
i just got back from tenerife...getting myself used to the weather of Florida! hehe! I cant believe how hot it is out in Orlando all year long its like 80 degrees average!
has everyone got everything sorted? When u lot gonna start packing?? Im already wondering how many suitcases to take! hehe!

Hope u had a great time in tenerife! I'm jealous of u lot all goin on nice holidays! I had a week off work and stayed home all the time doin housework! greeeeeaaaaat! lol :

Nah I ain't gonna start packing till end of this month! I know what u mean tho emma I could do with takin my whole room!! The amount of footwear and shirts I have (you'd think I was a girl! lol) I might just throw as much in as i can! I kinda wanna take some jackets but not really gonna need them anyway!

 

Packing will def be a last minute thing for me! I think this will be one of the few times I will be glad to have a uniform, no dilema about packing work appropriate clothes! (Right now I just stare at my work office clothes every morning as I'm soooo sick of them because I sent a bunch of clothing home already and wind up wearning the same thing over and over and over again. End rant.)

Actually, it's just easier for me to point at a rainbow and say, "That's my favourite colour!"

I have a shirt that is the colour of a yellow and a green highlighter mixed together. For some bizarre reason, I found this blessed shirt on the DISCOUNT rack! Zut alors!

I don't know yet jen, keep thinkin but can't decide!! will prob end up doing something at the last minute!

 

I went out last night (for kinda a leavin do for my mate sam who's goin to Canada for just over a month so won't see him for the rest of summer) and it was really weird cos I've known him since I was 5 years old and never been away for a long time and now I'm not gonna see him for well over a year! Said bye to him when he got in his taxi but didn't hit me till I got home that it will be ages before we go out for a drink again! real weird! kinda brings home that I'm goin away! A few of my friends I have known since we were real young and the rest since high school so it's gonna be weird!

No worries! I was actually just confronted last night with the whole good-bye thing. It was almost my first good-bye before leaving Edinburgh and heading back to Canada but I luckily diverted it. I wasn't mentally prepared at all for a good-bye session and there are so many coming up

However, one of the best things about leaving is the immense thrill/adrenaline rush when you eventually get to go home! (One of my friends teased me once saying, "Jen, you just keep leaving because you like the attention of coming home!") As well, think of all the great people you'll get to meet - they don't replace your friends at home, but they compliment your life quite well

And if it makes you feel better, I'll go out for drinks with ya in Florida ;D
