i did have trouble getting my visa booked, from when i booked the ealiest appointment was 5 weeks later so hopefully you wont have this trouble but keep this in mind when booking

You talking about the criminal background check? You should get a copy of the results back.

i really hope emma is talking about the criminal background check coz i have been through the pack like 10 times since i read that and i cant find anything about having to send of £60 .... argg :-\

 

lol sorryyyyyyy guys im getting confused haha i read a message on one of the topics about getting a reciept and u have to take it with u to disney???? BUT im guessing now they did mean the criminal record check and u just have to take that with yhou? ah!

My friend is in America on a Tennis Scholarship so had to get a visa and he booked his appointment in London and was waiting around for 5HOURS!!!!!! URGH! he reckons we might have to wait around ages cuz ours is a working visa rather than study! AHHHH i hate waiting!

Guys have a look at the topic 'Programme Fee' (2nd page of topics me thinks) and its talking about assesment fee....

 

THE PROGRAM FEE.. I THOUGHT WE PAID IT WHEN WE GOT THERE!!

 

Sorry to interrupt your post guys- but as Im going on July 18th Ive sorted a few more things, basically...

1) You need to pay the $72 programme assessment BEFORE you go, there is a website address in the pack

2) YOU arrange your own visa appointment, once youve recieved your 1797 letter

Dont forget the visa costs £63, which you pay before you go to the embassy (they will send you a letter once youve made your appointment with a giro slip in it) and you also need £10 to take to the embassy so they can post your passport to you (although at belfast its slightly different in that you need to take your own postage paid special deliver envelope, althogh i suspect most people go to London)

Hope this help clears things up for you a bit

ahhh thank u, thats helped heaps!!! I best get on to paying the assesment fee then...and sorting out my insurance....ah im so unorganised! lol How much money are most people gona take over with them...if thats not a rude question!?!?

If it makes you feel better Im going on July 18th and still havent paid my programe assessment fee or medical insurance :-\ I best start getting a wee bit more organised!!! lol
