I'm going out on September 25th. Anyone else from Scotland going out that day?

I'm from Glasgow and I'm gonna be doin F&B. What about you?

 

From Dundee (lived in Glasgow the last 4 years for uni)... I'm going out to do F&B

 

stuart and I plan to spend most of the year annoying people on saturdays

 

Well... I also plan to spend my year annoying you on Saturdays when St Johnstone lose (AGAIN!) and Dundee win (AGAIN!) ;D

 

let's not start that again! besides, we all know it's the other way around. especially when we play each other. 'mon the saintees!

also has anyone else had hassle with their acknowledgement forms?

 

there was a big 'to' section in michele's email today so I think almost everyone going in june has had to resend the form. at first i was worried it was just me until I checked that in the email. I thought my fax machine had buggered up. hopefully everything is fine though. if they've messed it up then it's not our fault for being late with them.

 

yeah its a pain though - ive faxed mine away twice now and im supposed to be going on tuesday and i dont have access to a fax machine before then.

 

no wait everythings sorted now. is everybody here going to epcot?

 

Not a clue, didn't realise people got told where you're working before you go? I thought you had to wait till 'traditions' or sumthin like that? I've heard becuase we're international students the chances are that we're gona be at Epcot in the pavilions

 

I got told where I was gonna be working when I got the job. They phoned and told me thatI would be at UK pavilion doin F&B. A friend who has done it before told me that you can get moved to different parks and areas when you are there though.

 

depends on what program you are on. the cultural reps going for a year have no choice but to work at the UK pavillion in epcot, it's the whole point of the Q1 visa (cultrual representation!) and is the ONLY thing you can do while there.

The students going out for the summer etc could be working at any park in any position (the position you choose in advance, i.e. f&b, operations, merch, character etc just not where you'll be stationed) and you find that out when you arrive).

The hospitality one is working in vacation planning I think or the hotels...

it depends on what program and there are MANY (and many visa types: Q1, J1, H2B...)
