yes, u are so right! last week I receipt a job offer and I refused it... but I think that if it is the right thing for me, so it would be there when I come back, if not, there will be so more chances! and hey, what can be better than spend 5 months in Florida, in a magical world, with great people?! it will give us so much!
yeah, it's hard to let our family, friends and boyfriend here, but they'll still be here when we return! and what if the relationship doesn't support the distance?! I'll tell u, that happens if he isn't the right man!
    oh, I can't wait!!!! ;)

    Yeah, I had that.

For about my first 2 weeks, I wanted nothing but to go home. But when I settled in at work, I started loving the place. I say, give it time when you get there and give yourself a chance to make friends and settle in and you should be fine.

I just hope that I don't get those 2nd thoughts again when I'm applying again in 2009!

that's what I say to me, it's hard to leave our space here, but it will be harder leaving disney! I've already left my friends and culture when we moved to portugal, and I'm thinking of going back after 13 years, leaving my friends and family here (my 1st love too), may be 4ever, so 5 months at disney can help me... it would be like a first step for a new life, and I can see how it feels being on my own, without seeing my family every weekend...
we have to give disney a chance, we'll need time at the beginning but it seems that the people is very compreensive and we wont be alone with those feelings, this helps too!
    I don't think u would have those again ;-)

I'm loving the fact that everyone who has already been a castmember is so excited for everyone and is encouraging all of us to experience what they have! It's fantastic that they aren't just your fellow co-workers....We're a team! And they will be with us every step of the way!
I, for one, am VERY excited! I get goosebumos just thinking about it.
Sometimes I wonder if the butterflies in my stomach are nerves or just being excited, and I can definitely say that I 100% made the right choice :)
Can't wait to meet all of you! xx

Hey, I'm a little scared about going too. Mostly cuz I'm on the shy side when it comes to my life. At work I'm friendly and open but for some reason I'm more shy around ppl in social circumstances but I'm really working on it and I know that once I get there and meet at least one person I'll be totally fine. Especially if they're all as friendly as the people here and at the interviews.

@ wintersun, I'm scared about a lot of things, but going is the right choice!think about all the fun and friends u'll have once u get there! look, I'm shy too, especially in this case because english isn't my native language, but this experience will help me! u'll make a lot of friends so I don't think u have to worry. and you know some people from here so you won't be alone ;)

    Wintersun and tinkerbell...

Don't worry. It's all good. Before I went to Disney I was kinda a shy person myself, didn't really like being around a lot of people. I stuck with a couple very good friends. Kept to myself. But after you get over there, and settled in it all changes. The people are amazing, and the job just transorms you into a more outgoing person. I personally made more friends there than I had combined made during my 20 years at home.
And don't worry about the English, after speaking the language 24/7 acouple of months you start to get a hang of it, unless you only hang out with your own countrymen.
Something I also recommend after getting over there is going to parties. Just about everyone parties over there, and it's just a great way to get to know everyone asap.
But you start meeting people anyway the second you show up at the airport. Find out who will be working in the same location as you, and from that moment on, you'll be doing everything together. The two days of stuff at your housing complex, traditions, job training, work, etc.

and btw, if you don't like your roomies for some reason, just talk to someone at the clubhouse about moving, I did... twice actually, was no problem.
