...just in case don't unpack all your stuff when you'll arrive!!!
I also think they they'll tell you if you'll have to move almost in the moment they give you an accomodation..

Hey prospective roomies!

I hope I get a Norwegian roomy, and I've already had a Japanese roommate so hopefully I get all different people from different countries! Who knows maybe some of us on here will be roommates. Exciting!

WEll this Canadian has TONS to loose and although I asked to go......I will be VERY sad to leave!!
I have an apartment that I have to SELL because I am NOT coming back to Ontario!! I am leaving and walking into my NEW LIFE!!! Who knows what I am going to do when I get back to Canada but all I know is EVERYTHING I OWN is going to be sold!! I am bring clothes and some memories!!!

I will be looking to YOU ALL to help me out and make you my NEW family!!

NOT moving to Florida permanently!! I am just getting out of the province I am from now!! Once my brother passed away a couple of years ago, my parents wanted to move "BACK HOME" to Nova Scotia, so this past year.....THEY DID!! That left me here by myself!! It's GREAT but there is NOTHING keeping me here any longer!!
So, in order to go to Disney......I have to sell EVERYTHING!! I am just keeping my clothes!! I have a lovely queen size bed, 32' TV, dvd player, stereo.....EVERYTHING!!

So, when I go I go FRESH!! Fresh eyes and VERY excited!!

So, when I return to Canada.......I am going to go to Nova Scotia with my parents and then see what my life holds for me when I return!!

AS of Family.....we will all be ONE GIANT FAMILY!!

Really looking foward to that!!

I will be saving all the IMPORTANT things!!
Photos and things like that!! I KNOW that it will be worth it in the end!! Truly the only things that we can get rid of are material things!! We will ALWAYS have our memories and NO ONE can really take those away from us!!

I am just REALLY looking forward to meeting some new friends and learning new culture and maybe picking up some new cooking recipes!! hAHAHAH

 

Clean and not anti-social....hopefully fun people. You guys who are going from home with friends are soooo lucky. I know it will work out good though

 

I would love to have roomies from any country too! Maybe Germany, Spain, Italy or Mexico are at the top since I would like to learn Spanish, Italian and German at some point and it would be a start.

Unfortunately, I thought I read on another thread that ICP's don't get put with Cultural Reps and we usually end up in Vista or Chatham with US College programmers and with people who arrived about the same time. If this is true, then I'll probly end up with a bunch of other Canadians... or maybe I can pick up a nice texas drawl or something

hey!

i don't really care where my roomies are from but just would be cool to meet people from a big mix of cultures!

i think it's probably a good thing that icp's are put together cause we're all staying for the same amount of time so won't feel left out if the culturals already all know each other etc.. I'm pretty sure disney try their best to mix us all up country wise so i wouldn't worry about being stuck ( in the nicest possible sense of course!) with people all from your own country!

And at the end of the day it's disney world baby!! try and stop us having fun no matter who we room with!!!

FYI don't worry too much if you get put in a another complex when you first get here. I was in Chatham for six weeks (I think thats a record!) when I first got here and still have a lot of the friends I made when I was there. I wouldn't have missed that opportunity for anything, looking back.
You'll always end up back here at the Commons (provided you're an IP), so don't worry.
