Yes and no... You can express an interest and say something like "Oh, I'd love to work at XYZ because I think I'm great at XYZ" but you can't say "I want to work at XYZ and not at XYZ"... In other words, you can tell the recruiter that you think you'd be good at a certain role and why, and maybe even express an interest in a particular position, but you can't so much request one job over another, if that makes sense...
Yeah you're just kind of placed where they need people mainly but if you say which you're most interested in they must take that into consideration if it's available...
Ahh! I understand. I would be great at merchandise i think because i work in a shop and i love to sell the things and i would love to work in one of the disney shops but I want to work in attractions or as a character/character attendant as my preference.
I have to admit that merchandise would suit me as I too work in a shop. However, I would so love to do attractions - particularly something that comes with a spiel, no matter how short! Plus, I would love to do the CRP in a couple of years' time, and I'd have less choice then, so I'd rather do attractions now and save merchandise until the CRP.
So, do you not get to choose or give any preferences to where you would like to work? I too am planning on doing the CRP once i have finished my course at university, is it the only the CRP you are allowed to do once, or can you not do the ICP more than once?
The only preference you can really make is what role you want. You can express a preference for a particular location, of course, but it's by no means formal and is basically just you saying it to your recruiter. As for repeat programs, I believe both programs can be done more than once, but I've never heard of someone doing more than one CRP, as far as I remember!
