There's some reasons for the River country closure at Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/River_Country

Also the water parks close for about 2 months/8 weeks. Blizzard beach closed while I was there back at the end of October and is still closed for another week I believe.

This is just the yearly maintense, when Blizard Beach re-opens Typhoon Lagoon closes until March.

Smart casual is the best thing they recommend, if you've got a nice trouser suit or something wear that, the apperance is very important, but also smile lots and be genuine and polite! You're showing you can convey the 'disney' image :)

I dunno then, everyone i've known to go and get accept wore smart casuals or business dress, are we talking about the Visa interview or the Disney interview? It doesn't really matter what you wear to the Visa interview, but the Disney one is pretty important i'd say!

I think we talk about the visa interview.
visa interview: wear whatever u want
    disney interview: business style

Btw how much do u pay for the visa in the UK?

    Ah ok. Thx. ;D
Should be the same here in Germany. I just don't know which embassy I will go to ???cause I'll live in Scotland during the summer and will go back to Germany just 10 days before I am leaving for Florida.

I was at the embassy in Frankfurt the last time I had to get my visa. I thought I had to somewhat look professional and wore a WHITE suit. Great idea, because it started to rain like crazy and my coat then left black marks on my pants that never came out again :(
It really doesn't matter at all what you wear. I just remember it was a pain in the butt.
I paid $100 for something but I forgot what it was for. Plus my visa was a different one, so I am not sure if that's all you will have to pay. I remember back in the day I paid around $100 for my Q-1 though.

where was the fax machine? as some places will block international numbers, just like a bar on a telephone line

Usually it should work with 001 in front and then the area code and rest of the number. Unless it is blocked of course.

And yeah I paid $1000 for my 18 months visa as well and could only work at the hotel that had offered me the job because it was a training visa. Now I am trying to get a visa for Canada....I hate it!!!!!

All this visa malarky would be solved if we could just get the US to join the EU, or the UK to become a state in the US :p

    One day...*evil laugh*

The way Bush and Blair are with each other, i think Bush would just have to click his fingers and Blair would jump at the chance, lol

Yeah the visa thing gets very annoying. First of all getting it and then paying all that money only to be sent out of the country 18months later and start all over again. ??? ::)

Hmm visas. I havn't been bothered to think about that yet! Eep :/

Okay, a couple Canadian questions hopefully someone can answer :)

WHERE do I begin to apply for one? How long does it take? Do I have to, like, tell Disney when I get it? How expensive is it? Is it hard to get (ie: Do you have to interveiw or anything to get one? Or prove that you're participating in an international exchange? If so, how do I begin to prove that?)

Hmm that's it for now I think! I suppose I should get a jump start on this, if, like a passport, it takes half a year to get! (okay, slight exxaguration, but only slight)
