Chances it are it could be someone who arrived that day, friends i've got out there were allocated into rooms with people from their class at uni, but some people weren't, i'd guess you probably go in with someone you flew over with or arrived on the same day as you tho, it would make much more sense, and i've seen that so far.

They said to us at interview that you'd probably be in with someone whos from a different country, indeed my friends now living with, i think shes Romanian, another girl from a completely different country, so its a good oppurtunity to get to know people from all over the world!

Allright for the Cultural Reps here's the low down.

You get dropped off at the Commons, you get your room key and head off to meet your existing roomates. You may get a roomate from your arrival group but for the most part you will be filling in a vacant spot in an apartment. You get a piece of paper that lets you on the busses, and a day or two later get your actual housing ID (they take your picture for both the housing ID and your permenant Disney ID you'll get 3 months in) so Disney look is required for that picture. Yes that first day you're pretty much on your own for the day, but for the remainder of your time before you start working you will spend with your arrival group going through the same processes.

You get a white temporary one at traditions, 3 months later you get a yellow one with your picture on it.

Thats pretty reasonable, don't you get unlimited access to the Disney ones already? Tickets are pretty cheap when i've looked around, found a 7 day hopper for about £100/$180, so gonna get a few ordered for my March trip :)

Nope for the disney ones depending on the time of year you can get in free/half price/half day half price/or no discount, so the ANual pass kinda gets rid of any confusion there.

Prices are $36 from what i've found, so pretty reasonable i thought!

For $36 though if you plan on going to the water park more than twice throughout the whole year then you're better off with a pass.

I'm pretty sure 36 is the guest price. We get in for 18 bucks most of the year from what I remember.

even better, great to see the discounts are pretty substantial, do they close the water parks at any point of the year or are they open all year round?

There's always one water park open. Both are open for most of the year, but each one closes for about six weeks for a minor refurbishment.

The 50% discount is great, but note that in the summer months - when people actually want to go - it's only available if you enter the park after 2pm.

Yeah, but the sun doesn't set until about 8-9pm in the summer there does it? So at least you get a good few hours in there, only so many times you can do the flumes and rapids before you get all shrivelled, hehe, do love the water parks tho, i haven't been for a good 4-5 years, but absolutely loved Paradise Cove and the dolphins, Typhoon Lagoon, and my favorite, is it River Country? the old skool one, its brill!

I love the waterparks! I went to Typhoon Lagoon a couple of times, one time it was actually really cold lol. Back in the day we could either get 50% off for the busier season and free entry for the slower period. Sooooo nice!!!
