At least for the ICP, we don't have standard passport sized photos. The specs are in our documents on Yummy Jobs, but they have to be (at least for us): 2 inches (50mm) square, with the head centered in the frame. The head needs to be between 1 and 1 3/8 inches (25 to 35 mm) with the eye level between 1 1/8 inches to 1 3/8 inches (28 to 35mm) from the bottom of the photograph.
But if you have the worng pictures, I think they send you out to a nearby shop anyway to get them taken.
I think they need to be American standard ones!
    Hope that helps
    Katie

When I got my J1 visa in London (mayfair - off Park Lane), it was really simple - the photo is a generic photobooth one, just like you would get for your passport - just make sure you can see all your features clearly (once i had to redo it because my fringe was making a shadow over one eye etc etc - totally freaked out but just popped to a nearby shop then went straight back in - phew no second 3hr wait!), they'll always cut it down to fit on the form then Pritt-stick it on to your paper!
Compared to other times i'd been to get a visa, it was really quick- they were stamping the visa as i went to the window - as its Disney, they are pretty easy because they know your position is temporary. I know they asked a couple qs but can't remember now...maybe what do you have in this country to return to...
NB this is only for a UK citizen going, obviously other countries are different...can't really help but at least Disney is well-known, just prove you're gonna leave the US at some point!

thanks people your wonderfull. I have also heard since posting that I can go to Maxx Speilman Photoshop and get the exact measurements done there which will be great (they have it sent into thier machine apparently), so I guess I will be going for that option.

So thank-you Katie, Cherry and Fettes Girl, your all stars! ;D ;D Very much look forward to meet you, escpcially you Cherry as you arrive on the same day as me! x

    Yes Graeme,

Lourdes (loulie), David, Sophie, Sarawoot, you and me will arrive on 21 April 2009. Actually there are some more people from Indonesia and Japan and South Africa. (I saw their name on the name list of my I-797). But they might don't know our forum.

Lourdes will arrive MCO at 1645.

How about Graeme and Sophie and David? Do you have flight confirmation yet?

For Sarawoot and me, we still need to wait for the flight confirmation from Disney. As we asked Disney to help to issue the flight ticket for us.

Disney will call me regarding to the the flight on around 14 - 16 April... I think it is very risky as we need to fly on 21 Apr. Anyway, Disney staff is an expert, hopefully we will not miss the flight. hahahaha

Can't wait to see you all.

Cherry don't worry at all about your flight, the group of March 24th had the flight details around 3 days before leaving so I'm sure everything is gonna be fine!! :D

Sophie, Graeme hope I can catch you at the airport hehe
    See you all soon! XX

sorry is it has been mentioned before but when you come to booking the embassy meeting, do they give you a selection of dates to choose from.

If i can go as soon as a month before flying out then that's fine but in the 10 days before i leave, i'm booked up everyday and worried that's when i'm going to be given my embassy meeting

The J1 was was normally about 4 hours! But I've heard the Q1 is completely different..

I'd book it home for the evening though if I'm honest, as you could always walk around london for a few hours if need be...
